It's been a while since I've posted... heh, but hope all of you folks are still doing well. Anyway, the past month or so, I've been putzing around with Dark Souls 2, and its god awful combat system. I've never played an action game before where a character literally couldn't do two things at once. Some rage quit dude on youtube summed it up my thoughts nicely albeit done in a jokingly way. Nice game ruined by BS combat. 4 mil+ souls, level 160+, probably 300+ deaths, yet I still cannot beat that damn dragon or those two MFer's at end game, I guess it is. ! Dragon's Dogma - Dark Arisen. This one was awesome... loved just about every aspect of it. Star Ocean - WTF did they do to this series? The characters made me want to slit my own throat as they were so cheesy and annoying... especially that little kid and the winged thing. Some good parts, but mostly rubbish... very disappointed by the game. I never finished Skyrim either... what a chore but a good open world game. I've still got several demos (that's pretty cool of Sony) to mill through when I get the chance. Anyway, Merry Christmas to all and have a Happy New Year! Oh and B; if you still view this site, were you playing Rift by chance as "Blaq?" I noticed someone using that moniker. :P Cheers ALL |

I got DS2 for PS4 but haven't really invested any time in it. Star Ocean was meh, never made it half way through. Hope you had a good holiday |

Hey man; how's it been going? Glad the holidays are over... just put it that way. :D Currently been enjoying Kingdoms of Alamur. At some point, I'll get back to DS - if my rage meter resets anyway. Cheers. |

Hello fellas. Good to be back. I haven't played DS2 in quite a while, so I can't offer tips sadly. I know that I enjoyed the game though, but not as much as Demons Souls. As for me, I'm on a metroidvania kinda kick now... Playing Axiom Verge on the PS4 now. I recently finished Shadow Complex too and that game was freaking dope fun!!! I'll be back tomorrow to talk about more stuff. |

Hey TFM - how have you been? Yea; DS was / is a decent game. I love the dark and macabre theme, but for me at least, the combat was annoyingly frustrating. Lost a step or 10 maybe... dunno... reflexes aren't anywhere near where they were, but having a hitbox the size of a city block didn't help either. Yea; I kind of like the more action orientated styles so long as they aren't overly linear. No PS4 for me yet, but maybe one day. :) Cheers |
