Games Finished in 2012.; How many games can we finish before the world ends?

I finished Doctor Lautrec and the Forgotten Knights earlier this week. It sums up as a wasted potential. The animated cutscenes are really nice, so are the character art. The idea behind the core gameplay is really good too, you get some clues, put it together and find the hidden dungeon, then you sneak into the dungeon, you solve some puzzle and you defeat the treasure guardian RPG style and you collect the treasure. The problem is the game totally fails to deliver. Everything that has to do with gameplay = boring and tedious, not to mention that the main part of the game, puzzles, consists of 5-6 types of puzzles repeated over and over... FAIL!
It also seems the devs are trying to hide the fact that they they are copying professor layton. The end product is a character completely opposite to professor layton.
It's a shame to say this but stay away from this game.

I just finished PREY on the Xbox 360. It was my second time through it. My first time through was on the PC. This game got a much worse wrap than it deserved. It really tried to be innovative. IT did portals well before Portal. It, also, did gravity manipulation and the ability for your spirit to leave your body for puzzle solving called Spirit Walking. Spirit walking and portals were not used to their full potential in this game, but gravity manipulation was. These, combined with the living weapons (that add nothing to the gameplay. They are just cool to watch move), good story, great art design and decent voice acting made PREY stand out. The shooting and gunplay, itself, is only decent. The enemy AI is pretty bad, as well. It still has more than enough stuff in it to warrant a second look, though. IT is a decent game.

If you like achievements, you get 655 points for beating this game on normal.

The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword... wow, good game, but I totally wasn't expecting a 36h game :o, the spirit vessel collecting thing is really annoying though, it's exactly like those I forgot what they are called tear collection in twilight princess but even more annoying. Another complaint is when you died, you always restart with six hearts which is really annoying when you got beaten by a boss and had to backtrack because they put you back to life with half of your heart.

Looks like there's a hero mode after you beat the game, but I'll probably not going to play through it again.

I finished Fragile Dreams: Farewell Ruins of the Moon, it story is kind of messed up, I like the game though, average gameplay, but the graphic is nice (for a wii game). One thing that's annoying is the crazy long corridors near the end, walking in a straight line for 5 minutes is not fun.

@Kknd: Dude, your game completion rate makes me feel as if anything I do besides playing games is a waste of time. :lol2:

That's not very healthy. It is important to get some sleep. I used to sleep for only five hours every night too though, for a really long time I did that, so it's not that bad.

I've been playing The Dark Spire on the DS lately and THIS GAME IS SO SLOW! I've played for about six hours so far, but my characters are still only at level 3 and I haven't yet left the first floor of the dungeon. This game is a major grind.

Finished Lost in Shadow earlier today, it's a really well done platformer, kind of got tired of the game at the end though, not much is going on storywise and don't expect mind blowing graphics, but I would recommend this game especially when most places are selling it for 10$

I finished Metroid: Other M, great game, can't say I cared about the new characters and story though, but the gameplay is solid, I didn't find the d-pad thing to be a problem, the first person mode is kind of odd though.

I just finished Mass Effect 3 with the original endings, and I now understand the anger. It was like the ending was written by someone else. It was like they got someone who did not know that much about Mass Effect to write the ending. The quality of the writing is much worse than every single bit of game that game before it. It has no closure. It has massive plotholes, and the logic of the child thing MAKES NO SENSE AT ALL especially given earlier events in the game. I cannot help but wonder what happened because everything before it was great.

Resistance: Burning Skies. First Resistance to platinum. Easy in some parts, difficulty spikes in others.

Lego Batman 2. Complete waste of money. It is a port of the DS or 3DS version and they didn't even up the resolution on the cutscenes. Vita should be able to handle a port from the console version.

batch update:

NES:
Front line - extremely short and kind of bad game
Yie Ar Kung Fu - meh... next
Popeye - ok game I guess, extremely short

GBA:
Metroid Fusion - great game
Wario Ware, Inc: Mega Microgame$ - They added a storyline to the GC version (lol) all the mini games are the same though, waste of time, next (I could swear that some of mini games are harder though, maybe cuz the screen is smaller?

Mario vs. Donkey Kong, I hate this game, the control sucks the game is too long for nothing (maybe partially due to me not liking the game) and it's very frustrating. Recommended to puzzle nuts and masochist.
