Games Finished in 2012.; How many games can we finish before the world ends?

I finished A Boy and His Blob tonight. This game was so slow! It is a puzzle platformer, same genre as Portal. The blob changes into different things which gives the boy the ability to overcome obstacles and make it to the end of each stage. Some of the puzzles are a bit tricky, but most are easy. The boss fights can be a pain, but every pattern can be learned, so it just takes practice until you're able to put all of the skills together correctly and win the battles. Every stage has three treasure chests that can be found. If all three chests are found, a bonus challenge stage is unlocked in the hideout, which when completed will unlock game art and such.

Overall, this game isn't bad and would be worth buying for a bargain bin price.

Braid (PS3)

Some of the puzzles are pretty hard and all of them are really fun. Loved the style. It didn't make me feel like Journey made me feel but it's still overall a great indie game

Dragon Age: Origins... done, a decent game, but I'm getting sick of it around 20h in, the battles get a bit repetitive after a while. Overall, I think I prefer Mass Effect by a lot.

2011: Mass Effect 2

2012: SSX (not really a game you "beat" but yeah)

Unless I'm forgetting something, I already matched the number of games i beat last year!

I finished Bioshock 2 last night. This was a really good game, just as great as the first Bioshock. My only complaint is that enemies spawn out of thin air, in areas in which there would be no possible way they could now be behind the player. Other than that, everything else about this game was very well done. The music and graphics and story are all top shelf quality. I cannot wait to play to play Infinite later this year.

Dark Souls - 9/10

Loved that they went open world with this one but I still like Demon's Souls better. I feel like they nerfed dexterity builds which were some of the best in Demon's Souls. I miss my Demon's Souls dex/endurance builds

The only thing I missed in Dark Souls was being able to team up with friends. I don't know if they fixed it in later patches, but at release it was nearly impossible to team up with people you know-for various reasons souls signs would not show up. It was relatively easy in Demon's Souls provided you were in some form of contact with whomever you wanted to team up with.

I had some issues with summoning/being summoned while playing with friends as well, though I think I know the trick to it now: if you're not being summoned after 30 seconds replace your sign and keep doing this until eventually you land on the same server as your friend

Dark Souls was such a good game. So was Demon's Souls.

I finished Jak and Daxter tonight. I didn't really hate it, but I sure didn't love it either.

My biggest issue with this game is the horrible camera. Plenty of times throughout the game I was unable to maneuver the camera in a way that would allow me to see the jump destination. Most of the time, the camera is simply too close to the characters, with no ability to adjust the zoom distance. The lack of a proper camera was responsible for many deaths.

The other main problem with this game is with the story. What is a precursor orb, or a power cell? What do they do and why are they so important? The entire game is all about collecting these things with no real explanation as to why, other than because you were told to do so. Also, the main villains don't show up until the game is nearly complete. The next to last level of the game is especially lazy, as there are four power cells collected simply by handing over 360 orbs, 90 at a time.

I was not too impressed with this game. The entire time I wondered how Naughty Dog ever survived as a game developer long enough to make the Uncharted games? Maybe is was their destiny or something? Either way, I don't think that I'll be playing the rest of the Jak games right away. Xenoblade seems more deserving of my time right now.

since the last update, I finished Donkey Kong Land and Brave Story: New Traveler

DKL sucks, unresponsive control, really bad level design, repetitive bgm, and some unforgivable glitch make this game a total mess.

Brave Story: New Traveler is a decent RPG, although a little too easy

Just finished Astonishia story yesterday night, it's a staple of mediocrity, nothing about this game is particularly bad but nothing about this game is great either, in conclusion, don't play this game if you have better games to play (the game is only around 12h)
