It's worth $5. All games, no matter how bad cannot be hated if they only cost $5.
Lunar: Dragon song begs to differ
I actually own this game. Maybe I should play it sometime to see just how bad it really is. According to all I've read online, this game seems universally loathed.

Resistance 3 - Do you like shooters? Do you like Resistance? IF you do, play this game. It is an awesome finish to the series. I absolutely loved it and can find almost no fault with it.

I finished Kane and Lynch 2: Dog Days today. My feelings are mixed about it. This game improves on the first in a number of ways that should make it an all around better game. The shooting mechanics, enemy AI, ally AI and controls are all better in this game. On top of that, the game uses a unique visual presentation that emulates the look of videos shot on handheld camera. It makes the game look like nothing else out there. It is beautiful, on top of having a higher level of detail than the previous game. The sound design is brilliant, as well. It fits in perfectly with the look of the game. The voice acting is good, as well. Co op can be played both online and offline now, as well. All of this should make it a better game, right?

Well, the game has some problems. You know how the first game had crowd scenes during the first half of it that were the real stars of the game? They make Kane and Lynch 1 stand out. They were awesome and a lot of fun. They are not in this game. You will not be robbing any banks or breaking anyone out of prison in this game. It is a shame, too. Those were the most memorable parts of the game. Their presence is sorely missed in this game.

This game has some other problems as well. There are no grenades. IT is not so much of a problem as it is an odd design choice. Why are there no grenades? I miss grenades. The game is short. Playing through this once single player and a second time with a friend still won't take you as long as it took you to beat the first Kane and Lynch. Lynch is restrained by meds in this game. At no point does he freak out. I guess this makes sense, considering he is the main character this time. Still, those were memorable moments in the first game.

That is not to say that this game does not have memorable or shocking story moments. Just like the first game, this one has a few moments during it's story that will make you step back and go "what the fuck." You will remember them long after you turn the game off. That being said, there is less story this time around, and what is here just is not as good as the first game was.

All in all, it is a more solidly built game than the first one was, but the first one had more stand out moments of pure fun than this game did. I want someone to take the tighter controls and mechanics and better sound design, visuals and enemy AI of the second game and mix it with the grenades, shocking story moments and crowd missions of the first game. If IO Interactive can do that and make it 10 hours long, they will have a great product on their hands. As it stands, they have two "decent if you get them for cheap" shooters that deserve to be better than they are.

I finished Hammerin' Hero on PSP the other day, it's not such a great game IMO, the controls are not responsive enough, the game is short, the story is whatever. Other than the graphics, it feels like irem hasn't improved anything since the SNES prequel (the one that I played last year) and that's rather disappointing.

I should probably update a little more often, but finished Rayman Origins awhile ago. I didn't plat it though. The time trials are frustrating.

Here are my poorly thrown together final thoughts on Rage. I posted them on Facebook from my phone

I just beat Rage. From a technical standpoint, it may be the most beautiful game ever created. It is artistically beautiful, as well. The animation is some of the best in the history of video games, and the sound design is truly impressive. Play it in surround sound on a good stereo. The voice acting is all great, as well. The characters lack depth, and that hurts the story. Despite how lifelike they animate, none of them are memorable. Enemy ai is aggressive and a lot of fun to fight. Each gun feels right and very powerful. Th gunplay is fantastic. The racing can be fun, and the car combat is enjoyable. The rally point races are an exercise in frustration, though. There is a lot to do in Rage. My playtime was just shy of 22 hours. This is a large chunk of game. The story is decent for what it is, but the ending sucks. It ends right when shit gets real. It is obvious sequel bait. Despite these few complaints, Rage is the best single player campaign for the first person shooter genre since...probably Half Life 2. It's that good.

For the record, I played the PS3 version. I got 63% of the trophies.

Enslaved: Odyssey to the West – Great game overall. Fun to play but also gorgeous to look at. It’s post-apocalyptic but it’s not as dark as, say, FO3 – 150 years without humans to keep nature in check has allowed New York to become a much greener city, and that’s where you spend a good chunk of the time. Even the darker areas aren’t that dark. Story could be better. Loved the mega-mechs

I haven’t played the DLC but I might if I see it’s cheap

Journey – Amazing, thatgamecompany never disappoints. Get this game if you have a PS3

I had come so close to picking up Enslaved about a month ago. Amazon has it for really cheap.

God of War III

That ending! Great game. Length is a bit short and there aren't as many puzzles I don't think, but this was Santa Monica Studio's entry next-gen game so I'll cut them some slack

I do like the puzzles that are there. Hera's Garden is one of the coolest puzzles that I have played in years.

What was your final playime on it? I got something like 13 hours out of it, which is significantly longer than the other two games

10-11 hours I think

It felt short to me. Can't remember how long it took me to beat the other two

Uncharted:Golden Abyss. Typical Uncharted game. Ending felt rushed and there wasn't any big surprises near the end. Still have some weapons and difficulty trophies to get.
