Games Finished in 2012.; How many games can we finish before the world ends?

I just finished Star Ocean: Second Evolution, the game could do without the last part, it seems they were trying too hard to make the game longer. Also, ef the final boss, he's one of the cheapest boss I ever encountered, at anytime during the fight, he can cast a spell that does 8000+ damage to everyone, wtf is that?! :/

Xbox360:
Call of Duty: Black Ops

PS3:
God of War III
Vanquish

PSP:
Star Ocean: Second Evolution

I finished Klonoa: Empire of Dreams on GBA, the game is just too easy, to the point the game was boring.
I like the last stages though, since they offer some sort of challenge at least. The story is meh but it's a platforming/ puzzle game so I don't mind.

Xbox360:
Call of Duty: Black Ops

PS3:

Vanquish

PSP:
Star Ocean: Second Evolution

Gameboy

I've finished Super Mario 3D Land. I got four stars, but not five, since that would require playing through the entire game again as Luigi, which I just don't feel like doing right now. The first 8 worlds are laughably easy, but the special worlds have more of a challenge for us gaming veterans. The game was a lot of fun and is worthy of being called a true Mario game. SM3DL is a game no 3DS owner should be without. 8/10

I finished Nano Assault on 3DS, the game wasn't exactly what I expected it to be and it's shorter than I thought, but it's a decent game, especially for 20$.

It's most of the time involving a ship trying to destroy infected organisms on a random shaped 3D cell, there's also a mid boss in every level that plays the same way except with a bigger thing to kill. The last part of every stage plays differently, it plays like a horizontal shooter, expect the perspective is from behind the ship, I guess they try to make use the 3D. Does work as quite well as I hope it would be, but it gets pretty good once you get used to it.

Here are my thoughts on Dead Space Extraction:

This game has some bugs to it. There were two different points where it glitched up, and I could not shoot the enemy at all. I, literally, had to sit there and wait for it to slowly kill me. That was a little frustrating. It, also, seemed a lot harder to grab a lot of the items in the later level. This might have been a design choice, but it was annoying none the less. IT was like there is just enough time for it to register with you what the item was before it was no longer on the screen, leaving you no real opportunity to grab the item.

I played this with a controller and got through it ok. It would probably be easier and more arcadey if I had played it with a move controller. I do not have one. The controller worked fine, though. I imagine getting high star ratings on every level with a controller would be nearly impossible, though. I enjoyed it even when I was getting 2 star ratings on a couple of levels, though.

This game definitely has a Dead Space feel to it, though it is not scary. It has a good and intense atmosphere to it, but, given the nature of the game, I do not think it can be scary. It was a very story driven game, which was cool. It spent a lot of time with the various characters, and you wind up actually caring whether they live or die. This does mean that it is a lot longer than your standard on rails shooter. That is ok, though. IT was not designed to be an arcade cabinet.

Overall, Dead Space Extraction was a lot of fun. It looked pretty good, but not amazing. IT was a Wii game ported to an HD console so, if you are expecting something like the HD console games, you will not get it. What you will get is a deep and worthwhile story that provides more background on what happened both on the Colony and on the Ishimura leading up to the events of the first game. IT, also, ties itself in with the second game in some small ways as well. It has replay value in finding items, journals, audio logs, unlockable difficulties, a challenge mode and trying to get a better rating on the 10 chapters. IF you like Dead Space, this game is worth your time. IT is not just a cheap cash in.

I took them out of my list of games post.

I just finished God of War 3. There are a couple of things about it that I didn't particularly like. There are a few fights that seem a little unfair. Ironically, they don't tend to be against bosses. The parts where you are flying up the chain were too long. They outstayed their welcome. That aside, it is an excellent game and very worthy of the name God of War

@kknd: I intend to play the Nano games very soon, but I want to play the DS games first before the 3DS game to see what changes are made and such. I am back on a kick of playing short games again, after spending 400 hours between both Dark Souls and Skyrim, so my goal is to knock out a lot of my backlog as quickly as possible. Of course, I'll still take my time to enjoy each game as always.

@Fs: I've got my eye on a copy of this game on eBay right now, so I may be able to get it for cheap.

It is well worth your time. IT is longer than the previous God of War games by 5 or 6 hours, and you unlock a ton of shit when you beat it, in typical God of War fashion. More games need to do that

Oh no. I meant Dead Space E for Wii, which I just bought on eBay for $10. As for GOW3, I don't really want to play this game. I enjoyed the first GOW game, but the second just killed all of the interest I had in the series. Perhaps I should give it another shot sometime though, because that might have been back when I was usually being super critical of most games in general. Maybe that game isn't really as terrible as I thought it was at the time.

If you are referring to DS:E, then Best Buy has it with Dead Space 2 for $40 if they have the limited version in stock. That is where I bought mine from.

God of War 2 is my favorite of the series. I have not played Ghost of Sparta though

I just finished Medal of Honor 2010. To be honest, I am not sure what to rate this game. At times, the game looks very pretty. There are moments where it looks a little rough, as well. IT is nice to see a modern shooter with a color other than brown, though. The enemy AI was not very good,. It was not terrible. It was just a little predictable. They would use cover and grenades effectively, but, a lot of the time, you train your gun on one spot and wait for them to pop out. The sound design is amazing in this game, as is the music. The battlefield chatter sounds authentic. The helicopter mission was badass, but nothing else in the game came close to being as awesome as that was. The last mission and ending are suspenseful, though. The campaign is short, which I always hate. I do not think I would have bought it if it did not come with Frontline in HD.

Yeah. I do not know how to rate this game. IT has replay value with Tier 1, but there is only one very stand out mission. The rest is a decent shooter with a more down to earth and realistic feel and story than Call of Duty. I certainly appreciate the effort put into this, and I like how respectful they at least tried to be with this game, but it feels like maybe it should have been better. I do not love it. I did not hate it. I do not regret playing it.

Fs is on a roll with three games done so far this year! Looks like I've got some extra competition.

My pace will slow down significantly once the new patch for Skyrim comes out. IT is supposed to fix the problems on the PS3 version
