It's time for a new thread for the new year. Kknd dominated 2011 with 98 games completed! I don't think that bar will ever be met by anyone else, but let's give it our best try again this year. Let us all attempt to complete more games in this year than the last! :yay:

Is the "lol" because the game is bad or something?

Also, how close are you to running out of games to play? I know that you buy a ton of games like I do, but surely your backlog must be getting drastically thin, or reduced to RPGs at this point, yes?

not really, I actually enjoy the story, beside the random flashback and shit, but I thought it was an odd game to start a new year :P

about the backlog, I don't know, I think I'm up to about 70% of xbox360 games done, around 60% for DS, 50% for Wii and 30% for PS3, I have a crap load of PSP games left to beat but I should be able to steamroll the portable games once school starts cuz you know... 2.5h of public transit per day :(
I'll prolly start touching my PS2/xbox/gc games once those are done
I'm not touching the new gen system right away, so I should do pretty well :P

@kknd: I didn't enjoy GOW2 at all, which is why I still haven't purchased GOW3, even for $15.

@FS: I've heard a lot of negative things about DS:E in the past, but your review sounds positive. Having never played any of the Dead Space games yet, if I ever did decide to play this game it wouldn't be until sometime far into the future.

I know that there was a lot of negative things said about Dead Space Ignition, but I was under the impression that Extraction was well received.

I just looked at review scores. Most places gave it an 8 or close to it. That is a good rating. The game is not amazing, but it is good. It is worth playing

I don't remember the ending of the game anymore, or any of the plot to be honest. All I remember is that the game was fast and fun, like a super-speedy version of Gears of War.

Boom! Skyrim is done! This game was really good. I give it a solid 10/10.

The thieves guild was the only major bug I came across in the game. This was a very major glitch that ruined an entire storyline, but overall I'd have to say that this was the least buggy Bethesda game I've ever played. Perhaps I was just lucky.

Everything else about this game is pretty great. I really enjoyed the dungeon/cave designs, as they all seem different and make exploration fun. The Daedric quests are fun diversions. The guilds are great, especially the Dark Brotherhood, which was my favorite. There are plenty of tough battles throughout the game that will have you struggling to survive, like when fighting an elder dragon, or forsworn briarheart. The best thing about Skyrim though is just how massive and detailed this world is. Exploration is the point of this game, so if you love exploration in RPGs as much as me (it's my favorite thing) then this game is for you.

I only wish money was more difficult to come by, because after you obtain more than 50K gold there is no worrying about money at all. There is a large variety of weapons and armor to find, but like the gold, once you've got something that works it will only ever be replaced when something truly special comes along, so then picking up every enchanted piece of equipment you find is pointless.
