Greedy Bastards. I swear at this rate I'll be forced to give up on banks entirely at some point.

This is how mine was when I first got it. I couldn't charge over $100, which was really annoying when buying anime. :whatever:

I read about this last week on the Consumerist. I think this is the lamest idea the banks have come up with. I bank with Wachovia (now Wells Fargo) and have always had an occasionally tempestuous relationship with them, but if they try to initiate this change, it will be the final straw that will push me to leave for a local credit union instead.

I bet they want to set the limit so they can hit you with an overdraft charge or something even if you have sufficient funds in the account to cover the purchase.

I really hope Fifth Third doesn't go to this. They've been good to me so far, and I really don't want to leave them. This is just a stupid idea all around. With all the electronics, school books, etc. that I buy, something like this would be a major inconvenience.
