I recently fired up Disgaea 2 for no real reason, and I remembered how it's far and away one of the best games I've ever played, even if Dark World 7-1 is so specific and that it kind of becomes taxing if you happen to mess one of the steps up. It reminded me how much I straight up player hated on Disgaea 3. So I thought I'd check it out and now it's installing something fierce.

 Not fair.
It's the trophes and about a half dozen other patchs. It's weird seeing somebody else playing it makes me want to pick it up again. Where'd I read some of the data carries over to Disgaea 4? I think D2 was just cleverer all around whech made it better and they didn't have the chance to nickle and dime you to death with all the should've been included dlc characters and other features.
Trophies? :? (looks them up) Good god. Some of those are absurd.

I decide to start a main characters run, since it's the only one I haven't done one on (though I'm tempted to do it again on the original or PSP). It helps you can skip story at will and streamline battles to make it quicker and easier to sit through.

I've got $55 in GameStop money. I know half is going to DQVI when it comes out, but where should the rest go? Atelier Rorona ($40)? Golden Sun 3 ($35)? Arc Rise Fantasia ($30)? Radiant Historia ($35)?

Is Red Dead Redemption worth getting if I've already had the ending spoiled for me? Keep in mind the story is a very large part of why I'm interested. Everyone keeps jabbering about how good it is.

well it's a sandbox game ala GTA, say... what did you not like about infamous again? (I really don't remember)
you might not like this one if it was the repetitiveness that turned you off.

The repetitiveness was a big factor, but it was also that I hated the mission structures. They were all the old classics that no one actually likes but won't die- escort, protect X point for Y minutes, etc.

Apparently Mass Effect 2 kind of flopped on the PS3. Go figure a full priced version of a Greatest Hits title isn't flying off shelves.

I was all excited about it, but the demo really didn't do anything for me. I loved KOTOR, but apparently that was the honeymoon of Bioware games. That or the others just aren't as good as KOTOR.

I don't care how much they tried to get you caught up on the story, no one in their right mind would want to just play a direct sequel that features not only benefits, but a lot of things that require previous understanding.

Yeah, it was a stupid idea on Bioware's part. It would have made more sense if they ported the first two games instead of just the second one.

Seriously Nintendo, what's your beef with the sword in the Dragon Quest logo? First IX and now VI, too? That is suckface! :(

Though, if I have to choose between no sword and no game, I guess I'll settle for no sword.

I just saw somebody recommend Strange Journey over Dragon Quest IX because Dragon Quest IX "has no story and is too grind heavy." Ignoring the fact that DQIX has a great deal of story and is the easiest of the series, those're your complaints that lead you to recommend Strange Journey, of all games? For serious? :headscratch:
