According to a story on Kotaku, it seems like another El Shaddai game is being made. I actually enjoyed the first game, though many others did not. I'm excited for more news about this. |

Can somebody explain Pokemon to me? Why are there three (soon to be four) generations of Pokemon for the DS? Are they really all so different? Also, if I was to play one Pokemon game, which would be the best to play right now, the most recent? |

For me, Pokemon is the simplest, yet one of the more engaging RPGs to hit handheld gaming. You have an near infinite amount of combinations for your team and can make even the smallest, weakest pokemon into powerhouses with proper training (especially if you decide to go the EV/IV route- very grueling). That, and the challenge of catching them all is just as appealing to a 23 year old man like myself as it is to 8 year old me. If you're going to get in on a "newer" game, I'd say either Diamond/Pearl or HeartGold/SoulSilver. HG/SS are revamps of the old GSC games (the second in the series). The GSC games feature probably the most replayability, with 16 gyms to go through in 2 regions as opposed to the 8 in one region. And it has all the amenities of the new games with the Global Trading Station and some of the new pokemon later in the game. |

I would recommend starting with pokemon black/white though, they start off the game with a new set of 150 pokemons which is pretty good for new players IMO |

What are you talking about? Sounds interesting. Edit: Nevermind, I found it at the top of Reddit. Too cool! Edited by thinkfreemind, Mar 31 2012, 03:42 PM.

According to Kotaku, that El Shaddai sequel is nothing more than a Japanese social media game. Bummer! In good news, Goichi Suda's next game will be called Killer Is Dead. It is supposed to be a cross between the styles of Killer 7 and No More Heroes, somehow. There isn't much information right now, but it's good to know that Suda already has another project in the works. |

I need an excuse to play my PSP more. I got Valkyria Chronicles II and played it a bit yesterday with AKB 1/48 and Fate extra and had fun with them all. I just wish I were more motivated to play a handheld system... |

So my local Gamestop stores have gutted all of the used DS games they stocked. I asked them why and they said it was a corporate decision to make room to sell used iPhones. My jaw was on the floor when he said that they trashed hundreds of DS cases for this reason. The amount of retail space wasted on displaying the fronts of old console games is more than enough to cover a spine only display of used DS game cases. I guess it's just a good thing that I already own most every DS game that I'd want at this point. It still sucks though. |

The fact that Final Fantasy IV on the PSP uses some form of weird motion blur effect is making it difficult for me to complete the After Years portion of the game. |
