Dolphin Gun, Destroyer of Worlds

I am tempted to get a 3DS. Walmart dropped the price early, so I could still get the 20 free games. |

NISA is localizing Black Rock Shooter for PSP!!! :D which means the rumor about NISA not wanting to localize third party PSP titles is false!! :D which means we might see Tale of the Last Promise in English!! :D http://nisamerica.com/nart/pbombs/2011/163/pressrelease_BRS_20110824_finalpb.pdf day 1 for me :D |

Yup, that sounds like a game that I would buy. Honestly, I hope that at least one of the smaller publishers (NiSa, Atlus, Xseed, etc...) will continue to localize PSP and DS games, even after the swtich to the 3DS and Vita. There are so many excellent games left in Japan that would have done very well here (especially PSP games) had they only been released. BTW: My opinion is that the 'piracy is the reason that the PSP didn't do as well in America as Japan' talking point is bullshit. Had the system had more games released earlier in its lifecycle and not suffered such a drought for a couple of years compared to the DS, the PSP would have been amazingly successful. Agreed with kknd on this one. The handheld market in the US is why it didn't do as well as the DS, not because it didn't have a ton of localized niche Japanese games, train simulators, or AKB48 dating sims. It could've had every game released locally and your parents and grandparents still wouldn't buy one as a brain exercise kit and your 4-year-old cousin wouldn't own one to play whatever games 4-year-olds play. |

I thought Kknd was agreeing with me? :headscratch: Still, I've seen more people buying a PSP in the past year than I have the entire life of the system. I can only imagine that the reason is because these people are now seeing the vast library of games making the system worth a purchase. I realize that Nintendo went all out marketing the DS to non-gamers, but I still feel that Sony dropped the ball by not supporting the system enough in the States and doing the same for the hardcore gaming crowd. Sure, Sony would run those Marcus ads whenever a game like God of War was released, but that one game wasn't going to sell a system with a whole lot of crappy sports titles. It is just a shame that the PSP is finally catching on in a big way just as it is about to be replaced by the Vita. |

I've been buying a whole lot more PSP games than DS games this past year. There are still several other PSP games that I have yet to import from Japan as well. |

I watched some gameplay videos of AKB1/48, the PSP dating sim where I can date all 48 members of AKB48, and it looks absolutely insufferable and painfully boring. But I still want to play it, even though it looks like a terrible terrible terrible game by any measure, even dating sim measures. Plus, I've already seen the unlockable videos for all the girls I care about. Wonder if the sequel might be a little less boring. It takes place in Guam if that helps... :P |
