And... they're not coming. This despite the fact Monado was confirmed ages ago. Thanks for the ride, Nintendo, it's been nice. The Wii was definitely worth it for me, but I almost definitely won't be around next time. http://wii.ign.com/articles/117/1179222p1.html |

I never thought I'd say this, but now I have to, Nintendo sucks! Reggie sucks! I have gotten to the point where I am finally sick and tired of the direction Nintendo has been heading for a very long time. I cannot believe that, even in this super popular Wii generation, we didn't get 1st party franchise games like Starfox, F-Zero, or Pikmin. Mario and Zelda are great and all, but it's just not enough anymore. Nintendo makes billions in profit, yet refuses to take any risks. Instead, they choose to act as if they're on some sort of shoestring budget. Small localization companies like Aksys, and NiS take more chances for cryin' out loud. |

The fact that they bumped Pikmin 3 to Wii U still ticks me off, in all honesty. But they played these games last gen, too. I remember when Zelda and Super Paper Mario were GC titles. |

If Wii U is not region free, I'm not buying it... or maybe I'll buy the Japanese version when it gets really cheap... screw Reggie |

I'm not gonna get too pissy simply because they still have some localization goodwill for saving Dragon Quest. Still, I'm not too happy about it. |

I've said it before (and still stand by it) that Atlus is the Squaresoft of the post-millenium, but I gotta ask: Where the flock are the console RPGs? |

JRPG developers found out that people don't want to play FFVII clones anymore, so they've basically stopped making games. For some reason, they can't seem to make anything else. The few JRPGs that get released tend to not get released here anymore. For instance, Nintendo of Europe is going to release Xenoblade and The Last Story in Europe, but NOA will not. |

Xbox360 is insane in text adventure department aka censored PC hentai game ports, Sony doesn't care about RPGs anymore and Nintendo of America is a bunch of idiots. |

Mainstream gaming on consoles is dead, but I still have faith in the PSN/Marketplace model. Console gaming is dead! Long live console gaming! |

Console gaming is not dead, only console RPGs. I loathe the PSN/XBL model of distribution and it is the #1 reason why this generation of gaming will likely be my last. |

Meaning it's dead. Even if it's only for me, if they aren't making the games I enjoy most, how is it not? :P |

Console RPGs are not dead. They hyave just shifted from mostly from Japan to mostly from the west. We still get some very good ones. Mass Effect. Fallout, The Elder Scrolls, Dragon Age. We, also,k get some not so good ones like Sacred 2 and Alpha Protocol. I have heard that Reggie is not an RPG fan, and a lot of people are pointing at that as the reason that The Last Story is not coming to the States. Whatever the reason is, it pisses me off. I want The Last Story. I think it looks very good. From what I have heard, it is the most praised of Mistwalker's games |

I don't care if B actually shows up and strikes me down with a lightsaber, western RPGs can suck an ass. |

The PS2 was flush with RPGs, and Fallout, Elder Scrolls, ME and Dragon Age are not enough to make up for this difference. Of course, most of these console RPGs have landed on handhelds, which I am fine with. So, I don't know if there are less RPGs being made, or if they are just not being made for consoles anymore. I do know that if you're a gamer these days that doesn't like handheld gaming, then you'd be missing out. |
