So Rag, what was your favourite combination? Personally, I like Innocent, Heroine, Case Closed, Origami's Grave (with Lauren). I never liked Ethan and Madison getting together. So I liked Innocent because it seemed like there could be some reconciliation in his family. And I think that family dynamic was largely abandoned over the course of the game. Madison fits well with Heroine. She got her book and it sets up a cool sequel. Case Closed has Norman solving the case and he wanted it almost more than anyone. Origami's Grave with Lauren was just a great scene. I really liked her character a lot. I will say that the So Close trophy was one of the absolute most heartbreaking things I've ever had to do in a game. That was BRUTAL. But yeah, Madison, ugh, I hated that girl. Who tries to make out with a guy when his son only has hours to live? Are you serious? And then if you fall for that, what comes next? Fock that! No way in hell'd I forgive her. Edit: Also, how cool was getting the Perfect Crime trophy? Watching Scott over the game was AWESOME. It was like seeing an entirely new character. So well done. Especially the first scene in the convenience store. Absolutely killer. Edited by nate, Mar 21 2010, 08:23 PM.

Everything, everything, EVERYTHING!

I can't really remember the names, but the ending that got me the most was where Shaun dies and Ethan and Madison are at the graveyard. I did not see Ethan pulling the gun out and ending himself right infront of Madison coming. I figured they would live out the rest of their lives like she was talking about 2 seconds before hand. I don't know what to think of Madison. I didn't dislike her, but I didn't like her either. I didn't really care about her, but it was neat seeing her being the one to save Shaun when you make her go there alone. As for the Perfect Crime, I agree 100%. It was awesome watching the things he does knowing what you knew. Everything made a lot of sense the second time around. "I wish I could have looked into the eyes of my son's killer before I died" was heart wrenching. I was also pretty pissed the first time through finding out my favourite character was the killer. I literally said outloud "Oh shit" and "No way". I was actually angry. It's been awhile since I got that attached to a game or character. Ethan was great as well, especially in the Lizard and Rat trials. Edited by Ragnarok, Mar 21 2010, 08:44 PM.

Yeah, when I saw that one I was talking crap about Madison. "No, it's okay you killed two sons, we'll have a NEW one." Are you kidding me?? That made the "Let's have sex even though your son's about to die" seem positively tasteful in comparison. Then he pulled out the gun and I was like, "OH SH...!" I was REALLY relieved they handled it like that instead of with him bouncing back on the make a new son plan. Yeah, he was my favourite, too. Tricky bastards. |

I wanted to like Norman, but I hated his voice actor. Everything he said just sounded so forced. His character was cool, but I couldn't take him seriously with that Nahman Jayden voice he had going on. |

By the end, he was my favourite. First time through, I liked Shelby the best until the reveal, subsequent playthroughs made me really connect with Norman. I could really empathize with his obsession with solving the case. |

I can understand that, but his voice man! That fake New York accent he's trying to pull off is just terrible. |

I don't remember if I've posted this here yet but a week ago I had the game in my hands and I was getting ready to play it and my friend who already beat it goes and says who the killer is at the end because he thought that "different endings" meant that there would be a different killer in everyones playthrough which makes no sense. So yeaaah.... I got my monies back on the game but then still felt like playing it anyways so I watched some dude play it on youtube. He actually did almost everything I would have done so it was still pretty cool even though I didn't actually play it. |
