Why do you hope the 360 slim is true? |

because I want to get a new 360 with HDMI and a larger hard drive so that I can stop deleting games to make room for new ones. In this case, the slim is rumored to be cheaper than the standard. Plus, the way my game center is setup, a smaller console would DEFINITELY make life easier. |

So you will buy a new 360 but not a PS3. Odd. If a slimmer 360 comes out it won't be cheaper for the consumer. Only for Microsoft. |

Possbily. And yes. I'd buy a new 360 before a PS3 because as it stands now, I can't use the system I have properly. I need a new system in order to properly store all my games... Well, that's not entirely true. I could go buy one of their overpriced hard drives. But when you look at the cost vs value ratio, it makes sense to just get a new system. especially since I'm still playing on component cables. Plus, as I said before, I'm not pressed to get a PS3. They've got some wicked-awesome games as far as quality goes... But none that I'll feel like I missed out on life if I don't get. My original plan was to either get a PS3 at the end of its life cycle, or just wait for the next gen and spend time playing games I missed on their new machine. (if they figure out what backwards compatibility is by then) Plus, from what I remember hearing... One of the major draws to the system was debunked for me. I heard that the classic PS1 and PS2 titles they drop on the PSN Store don't have trophies. Dealbreaker. Edited by TSL, Mar 18 2010, 02:45 PM.

I can't spend $100 for a 60GB hard drive just on principle. My computer science degree will NOT allow that. My diploma even threatened to leave my house if I did it. |

Rumor has it that the rumored 360 slim will not only get rid of the memory card slot but will also have an internal HDD which means no upgrading. |

would be fine if it's a 120GB or eventually supports the USB memory concept. It'd be just like playing in the PS1, PS2 days. I guess we'll just have to wait and see. |

...but you can spend 3 to 4 hundred dollars on a system you already own. Your computer science degree should pimp slap you for that |

Not me. I sold my PS2 fat when I got a 60 gig PS3. Then I bought a slim when Best Buy screwed me over by voiding my warranty and replacing it with a 40 gig. That....got stolen. Now I have a fat again. I have only ever had 1 version of the system at a time |
