No daylight, I'm too weak to face it!

To be the one who actually likes the game while other folks take on my role of shouting out the game's whackness. I don't know. I still dig where the story is going. I still dig the characters save for the fumbles the designers made with the cutscenes. Maybe that's because it's not as high a priority with me. I mean, FF12 IS my favorite FF and even I believe it had the weakest story out of all the ones I played.... I feel more like I'm working toward a goal in this game. Working toward maxing out my Crystarium has been fun. seeing if I can max out what's available to me before moving on to the next chapter has been cool. Plus, learning the intricacies of the enemies in each battle as been pretty fun. I agree with nate that the Paradigm shift concept is unnecessary. I shouldn't have to change jobs to use certain skills. I wish I could just choose what I want from the menu without the class-switching. It only serves to make the fights more rushed because the enemy never sleeps. Plus the whole, "My team will only attack the same monster I'm attacking" is kinda lazy. etc etc etc Anyway. It just feels weird to be the one who's not beefin this time around. |

I do not get why people hate FFXII's story so much. It was amazing |

Coincidence? I think not. Everyone love the great games but you. Then a whack game comes out and you love it. |

There's some truth to that Squid.... some truth.... But love is a strong word, chief. I by no means LOVE this game. It's aight so far. I still liked 12 better, but it's whatever. I'm just not let down by it as much as yall. |

I am not really let down. I am just in a state of limbo waiting for the game to start letting me play the way I want to. Let me switch characters. Let me decide my team. I just keep telling myself that I am in the longest tutorial in game history. Cuz that is how the game has treated me for 7 chapters. Although getting the story through the datalog and loading screens while the cutscenes give you jack squat is bothersome. I don't mind a character heavy story but don't give me a novel to read to understand what is going on with the story. |
