I don't know why Japanese developers still have such a hard time making good concepts that work well. |

EDIT:: SORRY NATE, I MEANT TO COPY TFM ON THIS JOINT>   Thanks for the info. I want you to know that I mean that sincerely before I make my next statement. Dear Tim, I don't give a @#$% which part of Atlus is localizing games in the states nor do I care about how Atlus "works" or how many countries their offices reside in as it relates to my original point. My simple point was that if I ran a company and had the ability to localize, publish (or whatever other buzzword we need to use for this conversation) a videogame for the Xbox 360, I would choose to localize/publish/develop/release a good one that has a report with a decent amount of gamers over a shatty one 100% of the time. Sincerely, B  Caint make it no more clearer than that, chief. All jokes aside. You made my point for me when you said that the company localizes games they THINK will do well on 360. Clearly someone on their analyst team is fockin up. I want you to know, though, that I understand the mechanics. It's obviously a higher risk to develop and publish a game in the states with potential to fail than it is to just pick up some whackass company's game and throw some American lyrics on it and drop it on 360. My answer to that was, just don't bother. Because in the long run, you'll have a hard time selling your good stuff and any other crap to people who are unfamiliar with your work if you keep selling them crap. Don't get me wrong. Atlus churns out alotta doodoobutter titles. It's not just the 360. I'm not trying to say they are singling us out. I'm just saying, if you're going to try and break into an unfamiliar market, your business plan should not be giving them shite work. |

Doodoobutter is right. I think I can count on one hand how many Atlus branded titles I've actually enjoyed and I've played a lot of them. |
