If you come late to the party, sucks for you. Either the place is deserted or everyone's way the heck out of your league. Probably both. :whatever:

No daylight, I'm too weak to face it!
Ahhhh. thanks for reminding me. This was gonna be my follow up topic to the "Motion Games Movement."

I think gaming online just isn't for me. I think it goes back to my childhood. I enjoyed playing Transformers by myself more than I did with other people. I typically enjoy the banter with friends more than the actual game when I play online.

But it's a gimmick that doesn't really attract me for very long.

Critter Crunch. I can usually get a match, but it's always with people with 100+ games under their belt. Which means I lose a handful of times and the game goes out of rotation for another 3 weeks until I rinse and repeat.

Ya that's always been the issue with online gaming for me. What doesn't help is the fact that I am usually never able to keep up with the new games and play them and get good at them the same time as everyone else cuz I usually have something else going on, game or otherwise. Or I'll want to beat the main campaign before jumping online and/or unlock all the levels. Online competition is usually something that just comes and goes unless the game is popular enough (which isn't always enough to save it, see ffxi).

games that you play 1 vs 1 are the worst online. the only one i enjoy is NHL. I love team games online though.

They need to do 2 things

1. BOTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

2. NO ONLINE ACHIEVEMENTS/TROPHIES
Ok maybe not none. But far less and lets take it right back down to the basics. Here is a list of acceptable online achievements

Played a match online
Played on every map once
Played every type once

That is it. Done. No more and no more effin viral achievements/trophies. No more playing a septillion matches for that one achievement/trophy. And since any other can be boosted they no longer are really achievements. Did you really get 10 headshots in a row or were they 10 headshots on a friend playing target practice? And it does slightly punish those who came in after the online has died.

Unless of course the game is completely online. Then these rules don't apply
