Ok I am gonna say it. This is a bad game. The one thing that they should have gotten right they failed at. The story (dialogue whatever) is so bloody cliched it is not funny. The girl's fight sequence was awesome until it ended then they kicked me square in the testicles. Here try and finish this story. A PI walks into a conveniece store. What does all your movie experience tell you what will happen next? That and they focused way to much on the boring stuff. Shaving, showering (ok when she was in the shower it wasn't all that bad). This adds nothing to anything anywhere.

Query: Do you lose points if you drop the baby?

I 100% disagree with squid. I think it's the small stuff that builds the scene and I think that without it, the big stuff would lose impact. Because you never know when something small is going to turn into something big.

In other news: When you get a trophy called "Blunder" the game's basically telling you you effed up. :(

Yeah... I'm not gonna click that cause I want to keep everything unspoiled for a 2nd playthrough. So if it's telling me what would've happened if I had taken the other road, I'd rather not know. So yeah, if there's something non-Spoiler related in there, I'm not gonna see it, so you may want to repost it. ;)

There really isn't much spoiler in that if any at all, but you should still leave it alone.

If you got the Blunder trophy then nope, it's not a spoiler. Just my feelings toward what happened. I got the Blunder trophy as well.

Oh OK.

Spoilers for that situation (don't read unless you've already played that scenario and got Blunder, as well):

I got Blunder. Didn't even think twice  R1 popped up and I hit it without regret. Until the trophy popped up saying bad squid bad.

And it isn't just the slow scenes. The scenes where nothing happens for a half an hour bother me. Like trying to keep Shaun's schedule. That was horribly done. You have to wait for specific times and while you wait you are limited to nothing but watching the clock. He only gives you a few dialogue options (all of which result in him telling you to eff off).

While you wait? Not once did I have to wait. Did you explore the house? Find the cold medicine? There was plenty of stuff to do there.

Been pimpin' since pimpin's been pimpin', pimpin'!
I'm still sporting mixed feelings. Granted, I haven't played it again since day 1, and I only made it to the convenience store. The game is a mixed bag graphically. Some scenes look absolutely flawless, while other times there are some notable glitches. And I'm with Nate on most of this. The small stuff is about creating an environment and really getting you involved. With the FBI agent, you had to actually look for clues. With Ethan, all the little actions and interactions with his kids make what follows all the more intense.

I'll tell you one thing. The "Four Heroes" trophy has me scared. I can kill each character off?

2 complaints:

1. Controls. If your game is built entirely around QTEs, make sure your controls are spot on. I lost the first challenge because it didn't register me jerking to the right.
2. Camera/prompts. Make your prompts easily visible. I just about went crazy in the second challenge because my prompt was faded out behind a pillar, I was in serious trouble and couldn't figure out what to do because the wrong ways clearly weren't working for me.

1. I don't think that is what the sixaxis controls are for...
