Apparently he's hit 1300 pages in his manuscript (just short of Storm of Swords). And still not done. What in the blue hell has been taking so long? :x |

Feast of Crows is not a good book. In fact, just about 95% of it could've been removed with little damage to the series at large. It's mostly just meanderings. It does have a really awesome ending, though.

So I keep hearing. I still want to read it. I heard it was supposed to be like...half a book and A Dance with Dragons is the other half |

Yeah, that's exactly what it is. He wasn't supposed to write either book, but realized he was doing so much in flashbacks that he decided to fill in the gap. As he wrote that it became too big. So he split the character list in half and put half in Crows and half in Dragons. He thought that was better than including everyone and only giving half a story. If Dragons has as much filler as Crows did, though, I'm a little worried. It's not like Crows was bad, it just kind of gives you a feeling your time is being wasted because absolutely nothing happens for such a huge chunk. And not in the good way where they're building character, scenery, something. Just nothing happens. But yeah, it's absurd this book is taking so long because it's not even like he's writing it from scratch. |

I cannot help but wonder what is taking so long How is Spirit Tracks by the way? I don't like the idea of entirely motion controlled, nor do I like the idea of no real exploration of the overworld. IT worries me. Reviews of it were lower than your typical Zelda game |

Great dungeons, obnoxious in between parts. Ridiculously well done final dungeon (also legitimately difficult to figure out), but ridiculously easy final boss. If you haven't played Phantom Hourglass, go for it. Unfortunately, if you have, the combat's not as fun and exciting. I did really like the story though because Zelda really shone as a character. |
