How does the game determine what stat bonuses I get on level up? I made a magic character, and yet I got a x4 on Endurance. None of my major skills have Endurance as its governing attribute. :? |

No daylight, I'm too weak to face it!

In Oblivion, you've got to use it to grow it. Running and Jumping will increase your Endurance and Agility. As will using small blades and arrows. Falling off of cliffs and not dying will also increase this ability and allow you to fall from taller heights, etc. Fighting with a sword with increase your ability to wield swords and take on heavier swords with ease. Taking damage with your armor will make you better with wearing armor whether light or heavy. Using the magic you have will help you grow your magic skills and level you. Also, there are books/tomes throughout the world that will help you gain points in all areas. it's not like a typical RPG where you get SP to spend on skills. Just use your skills and you will make room for new ones and perfect the ones you already have. 8) Edited by TSL, Jan 21 2010, 11:45 AM.

A safe way to do this in Oblivion is to jump while going down hills. It will be like you fell from a greater height, but it will not kill you. |

 Dead Serious yo. Falling long distances helps grow that Agility. So go nuts jumpin of cliffs, but be careful of the height. |

So I take it my Major Skills are not the only things that have an impact on my stat growth? |

Exactly. And when you level up, you choose what you really want to focus on and it raises that. So even if you pick a certain type of character, you can still make other attributes grow higher as you level up. |
