No daylight, I'm too weak to face it!
|
I swear it takes all of my motivation out of my workouts. at least 50% of my normal upper body workouts require my shoulder. And since my rear deltoid strain, pull or whatever it is has been persistent for going on 3 months now, I'm just about fed up. I want to get back to normal, but I can't until the pain stops. this sucks! |

I think I may hit up some acupuncture. My Japanese friends swear by it. |

Been pimpin' since pimpin's been pimpin', pimpin'!

I told you, you might just have to take a prolonged period of rest, like it or not. Have you at least been icing and taking anti-inflammatory meds after workouts and throughout the day? |

I'm going to get my shoulder harness ice wrap this weekend. I haven't been taking meds, but I also haven't been lifting since the last time we talked. Today was my first day back and I decided to work something else besides lifts that focus heavily on the shoulders. What's the best for anti-inflammatory? Motrin? |

Generic Ibuprofen should do fine. I'll see if I can't hit the books and come up with something to do for ya. |

You could always see the doc and get a stronger motrin (not needed IMO) or another anti-inflammatory that is prescription only (naproxen or nabumetone) but to me, it's not worth it. pay a doc office visit, he tells you something you already know, you get a prescription for something that won't really do much besides take the pain away... i didnt know myself up until a few months ago, but sugar is a pro-inflammatory, so that is something to keep in mind. im sure you all know though, |

Or robaxacet (or whatever that stuff is called) might be more helpful if it is a muscle injury. It is just acetametaphin and methocarbomal to relax the muscles. |
