I can't even finish Strange Journey and you made it through THAT? Damn. You must really have a lot of time on your hands.

Enslaved-

The fantastic characters and dialogue make up for gameplay that isn't so great. They really outdid themselves with the character interaction, which is easily up there with Uncharted as the best there is.

The combat system is serviceable, if clunky as hell. Just make sure you buy the stun all upgrade for combat. It changes the difficulty from impossible to pretty easy, even on hard.

Platforming is there. It doesn't do anything but change up the flow of the game. It's almost impossible to die platforming unless you're a complete doofus.

And speaking of the flow, that's quite well done between small skirmishes, big battles, distance fights, platforming, "stealth" sections (not stealth, but rather get past enemies without fighting using cover etc) and boss battles. It flows well.

For those interested, the platinum is very reasonable (I'm not going to get it, but that's mostly because that's just not really my thing anymore. I love when I get a trophy, but I don't really go out of my way to pick em up unless I adore the game). The only nuisances are the collectible ones. One isn't bad, but the little experience bubbles are everywhere. God knows why there're so many of those. Still, it's a linear game, so you should find the vast majority just playing through.

All in all, a clunky game, but a good experience. For fans of: Uncharted, Portal/ Bioshock, Prince of Persia.

The more I think about Enslaved, the more annoyed I get. They really tried to do things with the game that I felt didn't fit and undercut everything else. Especially with the plot twist ending. It felt like they did it just to have a crazy twist rather than in any way furthering the story and relationship of these characters.

Just finished professor layton 3, great game :) the general level of difficulty for the puzzles have been lowered and the new super hint is literally giving out the solution. Got 146 out of 150ish puzzles which is pretty good I think, didn't bother with the parrot mini game though. They recycled a lot of bgm, but I'm not really complaining about it.

DONE!!! Thank you, Jesus! Finished SoulSilver. Longest 21 hours of gaming history.

The sad thing is is that it's probably the 2nd best Pokemon behind DPP. Problem is, I've been having to play catch up on the past games post-Diamond. And I tend to take my time with these games, so it's felt like I've been playing the same Pokemon game over and over and over for 5 years now or so. I imagine if you just play the main entries every 4-5 years or whatever, it's probably a blast, but I am burnt the hell out.

Don't know what to do about Black and White. The fact that it's completely new Pokemon, though, excites me, since catching em is the part of the game I like. But the fact there will inevitably be the same style dungeons, progression, hero/rival, gym, HMs, Victory Road, etc makes me not want to bother. Even overhauling how dungeons are done would make things fresh again. But routes, sea lanes and caves are the same in every single game.

Anyway, I'll have to steal Sarah's DS and do some trading from my games and see where my National Dex is. I may go for all 493, since I think I'm relatively close.

Been pimpin' since pimpin's been pimpin', pimpin'!
Last I checked, I was maybe 40 or so shy of completing the National Dex. But since my DS has gone AWOL, I'm kinda boned. :(

I just beat Brutal Legend and wow this was a great game. The story was excellent and well told with some cool twists. The world is truly unique, and it blends hack n slash action with RTS very well. It sounds like an odd combo, but it works extremely well. The music in this game is why I get up every day :P Seriously, though, it has the best lisensed soundtrack of all time. This game was absolutely fantastic from begining to end. - whydidn'tyoubuyit/10

I think I read somewhere that Brutal legend is now only like $7 at Walmart. I'll play this game eventually.

I beat Assassins Creed again. This game frustrates me, but not because of challenge. For the most part, this game is not challenging. This game frustrates me because of how good it should have been. Everything here is great, but it repeats the same missions 9 times in a row. As a result, it is incredibly repetitive. The story is excellent, and the ending sucks. The game is beautiful, but character models are very repetitive. I mean after the first two assassinations or so, you want to write this off as an amazing game. The longer you play it, the more it feels like the developers just ran out of ideas. It is such a shame, and that is why it is frustrating. It should be great. I want it to be great because it does a lot of things very well, but it just isn't.

Why does Altair have no accent at all? He should have a middle eastern accent, just like every other assassin you talk to. He sounds like he is American, though. Why?

 Perhaps the developers didn't give Altair an accent as a way of showing more of a connection between himself and his ancestors. Who knows..?

Which begs the question. Why give Ezio an accent?
