Ha I did it. 100% on a game like RDR I am rather proud of myself. I also realize I hate RDR now. Hate it. Came to that conclusion when I started going for the last achievement I could get without replaying the entire game. Needless to say I didn't get it.

Ouch, so the dungeon design doesn't improve? :(

Well, there're less of those big empty dungeons later on, which is a good thing. I don't like the fact that you can't run away from most of the enemies inside a dungeon (not the actual fight).

I finished Read Dead Redemption this afternoon. Overall, I'd have to say that it is a decent game.

I enjoyed the exploration, though not traveling from one side of the map to the other for nearly every mission. I also enjoyed all of the extra little things, like being attacked by a bear while picking flowers, or helping random people with their problems while riding by. Admittedly, this does get old, and as my fame grew it soon became as tedious as the cell phone in GTA4. Every time some random person come running up to me yelling "Help! Mister, that man stole my horse!", in my head I was hearing "Ay, cousin! You wanna go bowling?".

My only major complaint is that the end seemed to drag on forever, but it turned out that there was a reason for it being that way. Another minor complaint is that I didn't like the main character's attitude in the game. I was playing as a good guy throughout the entire game, so the hard-ass machismo was really out of character, in my opinion. There are other peeves as well, like the repetitiveness of some missions, and the length of others, but if you can look past all of that, RDR is about as fun as any GTA game.

I finished playing Wet today. While the game was not completely terrible, I would have a hard time recommending that anybody else play it.

As I mentioned before, the game was trying to go for a Grindhouse feel. The creators did manage to pull this off, but only just barely, as it felt like they were trying too hard and the results gave me a headache. Thankfully, this game is short (6-8 hours) so it ends just in time to not wear out its welcome. Wet does have plenty of harder difficulty modes and challenge modes though, so the game does have some replay value if you'd want that.

The action in Wet is very repetitive. The first time you perform a chain of moves while killing enemies is kind of cool, but there is only so much that can be done before it gets boring. The game does a good job of providing new areas and different types of challenges though, so while there is a lot of warehouse style fighting, there are also highway chases and such to mix it up a bit.

I suppose that if I had to find this game's biggest fault, it would be that so often it feels as if the game is playing you, as opposed to the other way around. This game is very linear and there are times where you'll think you can do something, only to die because that's not what you're supposed to do. In a way, this game is a bit like Mirror's Edge, so it is frustrating when there is only one route to take and you can't easily see it.

Overall, I'd give this game a B- for concept and a D+ for execution. This game is certainly rough around the edges, but there is some fun to be had.

Finished half life for the playstation 2. It is a great port of a great game. It is, also, the best looking version of the game, with character models that outclass even the pc hd pack

I finished playing The Saboteur yesterday. It was great, and one of my favorite sandbox style games since GTA:VC.

Let me break it down...

The Story: The plot of the game was quite good for a sandbox game. This game wastes no time in getting the player hooked on the story. However, the story does kind of dilute itself as the game goes on. Perhaps this is due to all of the free-roaming stuff that the player can spend hours doing instead, but I think the biggest problem is that as the game gets closer to the ending, it becomes more about rescuing people over and over again, losing the focus on the main bad guy.

The Action: This game is all about blowing stuff up. If you like to see things destroyed, or like trying to be stealthy while blowing everything to smithereens, then this game is for you. There are many different kinds of Nazi targets spread across Paris, just waiting for your dynamite. Near the end of the game, destroying these targets will become very easy, once you learn all of the tricks, and it is possible to take down several targets in a minute.

The actual story missions are some meaty challenges and can last quite a good little while. These are the highlight of the game, and what usually starts stealthily will often (inevitably) break down into a full blown shootout at some point. A couple of the missions can be mildly frustrating, but the game has a nice in-mission checkpoint system, so it is easy to retry a section until you get it right.

The Problems: This game does have a few glitches, but most of them might be my own fault, for doing something that I shouldn't have. A couple of times, I got stuck in the environment. I simply saved and then loaded whenever this happened, so I never lost any progress, but it was a bit annoying having to travel back to where I was from the nearest hideout. One mission had the game nearly freeze on me due to how much was happening in the game world, but I stuck with it for a minute, playing through the slow motion stuttering and the issue eventually ended.

The Rest of The Stuff: Load times in this game weren't bad at all. It can take a few seconds to load a game, or to go from one place to another (like from the outside world, into a hideout), but the outside world is huge and seamless. The graphics are nice to look at, but the music started to irritate me. Because there are only three or four songs on the radio when driving, they will play repeatedly, and I got tired of hearing these same few songs by the end of the game.

Overall, I give this game a solid B.

I finished the story part of Super Mario Galaxy 2, but it will take me an extra day to get the bonus stars. I have decided that I am not going to do any of the green coin stuff, because this game was frustrating enough already.

Overall, I enjoyed this game. It was a decent sequel to the original Mario Galaxy, but it was also just more of the same. This game offered a good challenge, so much so that at some parts I was cursing at the game and nearly mad enough to throw the Wiimote through the TV (so, I recommend wearing that wrist strap!). I had a few issues with the controls and the camera, which I will just say sometimes didn't seem as pinpoint accurate as I'd expect from a Mario game. Otherwise, this game was fun and worth owning for the Wii.

I give this game an A-.
