Beat Chrono Trigger, FF1 and FF 2 on PSP....

Chrono Trigger was cool for nostalgia, but a boring game for the most part. I never cared for the characters or the story. Nothing stood out as bad, but nothing really stood out as grotesquely awesome as the game's surrounding hype suggests.

FF1 is what it is.

FF2 got off to a GREAT start with the story, characters and the leveling system. But in typical old school FF fashion, the battles got ridiculously unbalanced as the game progressed. And the leveling system required way too much purposeful manipulation to break even. Increasing stats like "Agility" required you to fight your own characters to pull it off. I literally encountered major boss fights where I beat the boss in 2 hits... compared to random encounters that took me 4+ minutes to win. Further in the FF vein, the game drags WAY too long at the end. Get to the last boss and kill him already. I got 2 kids man, I don't need to chase this asshole across the planet for 5hrs and fight 7 different forms of him to feel like I accomplished something.

Where dreams come to come true.
I think I beat Call of Atlantis for the iPhone, but I can't be sure, because there was no closure. Far be it from me to get butthurt over the story in a puzzle game, but if you're going to pretend there's one, and if I'm clearly working towards a goal, I figure I should get some kind of climax to what I'm doing. Basically, I think I just traveled around the goddamn world to find these crystals to shove in some pedestal at the bottom of the ocean so I could go home and watch football.

Forgot to mention that I finished Assassin's Creed 2.

The story got stupid at the end. They have this entire build-up making you think it's gonna go one way and then they make all the information you gathered irrelevant by creating such a contrived and off-the-subject ending. The ending was clearly made to sell the sequel. That was disappointing, because the story was the best aspect of the game.

The platforming was frustrating at times, but mostly functional.

Combat was boring and tedious. It's basically a timed button-mash marathon that quickly wears out its welcome.

By no means a bad game. But definitely not as good as all the 9.0+ reviews it got.

how big is stealth in the game? People like to describe it as a stealth game but I haven't seen anything interesting with its sneaky parts.

I've been watching one of my roommates play for a while, and I'd say it plays a very small role. All I've seen is platforming and puzzles.

There are stealth specific missions... But for the most part, the amount of stealth you employ is up to you. For me - a person that loathes stealth games - it felt like I had to be sneaky too often... For a person who likes the the PS2 Metal Gears, it prolly won't seem like a big deal.

Beat the latest DA:O expansion. I think Bioware needs to learn the difference between cheap and hard. Hard is facing off against 6 golems in a small room. Cheap is fighting a boss with 2 forms, a gazillion hp and who constantly spawns elite monsters with a million hp. Story wasn't great (pretty poor actually). All in all it wasn't that great. Just a combat mod really.
