Visit this site called Tube2Tone. This site lets you make ringtones from the audio of a YouTube video, any video! I stumbled across this site this morning and I thought you guys might like to know about it also. So far, I've made two ringtones. The first is from the theme of Mega Man 2 (it's great, even though it was my first attempt) and the second is from the Ghost Recon 2 theme (and it is kick awesome). Making a ringtone is easy enough and fairly self explanatory, however it can require a bit of trial and error because the start and stop detection can be a bit off, adding an unwanted second or two of audio to the end, which is frustrating. As a tip, I found it best to stop recording about a second before you really want the audio to stop (as I said it's trial and error). After making the ringtone, you have three different options to get it on your phone (there are short tutorial videos for how to do this with popular phones) as well as a few formatting options too. If you've ever played around with the ringtone maker in iTunes, it's kind of like that, but FREE! This is totally free! There are no programs to download or anything either. I looked over the EULA and it all seems pretty standard as well, at least that's my opinion. In other words, this certainly seems to be a totally legit project. I will say that the legality of this site could be questionable though, in the same way that P2P sites are questionable and the site says in the EULA that it is not responsible for copyright issues (which would mean that the user perhaps could be, I suppose). Only time will tell what will happen with this site. Could it be the end of sold ringtones, or the next copyright battlefield? Update: Upon further search of the internet, I discovered that this service being free is only temporary. The company behind this is going to eventually sell this service later to make a profit. What this means is that being able to make your own free ringtones right now is kind of like beta testing the product for them, which is just fine by me. I'm going to be making some more ringtones when I have some spare time this weekend. Edited by thinkfreemind, Jan 15 2010, 08:19 AM.

I found a bunch of versions of the megaman 2 theme through google. They're midi versions that sound really good. EDIT: Actually I have the megaman 3 theme, which is the better one imo 8) Edited by boost, Jan 15 2010, 08:10 PM.
