I've seen this so many times that I now have it memorized. It is a catchy song though and I support the message. :lol2:

Words can't describe how much I hate this nonsense. This is one of the big reasons why I can't stand American Idol. I started watching the video on youtube and had to stop because it was so damn annoying.

That just makes it worse. He's a respectable person who now looks like a complete fool. :(

I don't think so. When seen in the light of this information about his life, I can see this song as his way of telling young black men to not squander what he has worked so hard for. This man didn't work for equal rights and such so that the next generation could look like fools. The message of the song "Pants on the Ground" is similar, I think, to the song "Read a Book"; these songs are not meant to be a polite message to the youth of this country.

Yeah, but that's not how 98% of people perceive it. Dude is a comedy act now, even if the message was intended to be serious.

You know. IT strikes me that it may very well be funny on purpose. Using humor to both get peoples attention and get a message across, you know?
