They are nice, but wouldn't you rather just have a new game? I'm bringing this up because of a few things I read in the Darksiders board at Gamefaqs. Darksiders is Vigil Games' first attempt at a game and it's supposed to be really good. If it is as good as they say, then I hope they will make different games in the future and not just start a series like every other company does. I don't know, things seem more epic to me if I know it's the going to be the only one. Playing a game and knowing there's probably going to be a sequel just lets me know that I'm going to have to spend more money down the line to see how everything plays out. Not to say that sequels aren't great, but I like new games better. |

It depends. Especially since there are really four types of sequels I see: There's the Final Fantasy sequel where, really, they have nothing in common between them. These I don't mind in the slightest since they're really only connected by name and genre. There's the Ratchet and Clank sequel where each game has its own standalone story and it's a series of adventures. This is the best kind of real sequel I think. You don't need to buy each one cause they're largely standalone adventures. Then, there's the Xenosaga sequel where each game is really the same game just stretched. This is okay as long as it's not stretched too long, but it's still kind of annoying. Finally, there's the sequel that makes absolutely no freaking sense. I HATE these. The first game covers it all, there's nowhere else to really go. As much as I enjoyed Symphonia 2, it was one of these. There was ZERO need to go back and make a sequel there. It's why I couldn't care less about Valkyria Chronicles and why I'd laugh if someone told me they were making something like Shadow of the Colossus 2. |

The game is another God of War clone but set in present day. If you are going to be new, be new not use someone else's style. Then again most RPGs are that way as well.

It's quite a bit different than that. It's a combination between Devil May Cry, Soul Reaver, and God of War. |

And yet the last game you played, the current game you're playing and the next game you're probably going to play all have this weird symbol next to the title that looks almost like a "Z." Hmmm... |

Hey I would much rather spend 60 bucks and get a full sequel than drop $40 for a 15 hour expansion that is droppin 6 month after initial launch. |

Sequels suck. All people do is whine and complain about how the old games were so much better. |

They really have gone down the crapper with the whole DA:O thing. As if charging us for a freakin storage chest wasn't enough. Then they keep jerkin thier customers around with the RTO DLC. Hey I got an idea lets make a thread on our official forums to keep people updated about what is going on. And then we'll just never post in it. :thumb2: |

I kinda want to wait a while to see if Bioware will make a GOTY edition with all these expansions and DLC included. I'd rather pay $60 for a complete game then $100+ because they decided to release the game in bits and pieces. |
