No daylight, I'm too weak to face it!
Allow me to say yet again how amazing the soundtrack for this game is. So dope.

Anyway, I'm loving the fact that monsters in this game do not spawn. Once you clear an area, it is cleared. I'm just hoping their are enough monsters to level to my heart's content. With how fast you level up in this game, it shouldn't be a problem.

Early in this game, the devs saw fit to challenge you by throwing monsters upwards of 5 levels higher than you into battle with you. I love it because it makes for a good challenge and a great sense of reward when you get the XP and level up.

Notable concepts that work well in this game are the mind reading feature and controlling the dragon when you turn into it. I thought flying the dragon would be clunky as most driving on 360 titles sucks. But nope, they implemented it very well and it is good fun to be the dragon and fight in the skies. Mind reading is a nice added feature as it helps you unlock secrets. It comes at the cost of XP, tho. You can level it so that it costs less and less XP to use tho.

My advice to any other potential players is to save before reading a mind. that way, if the data you get is bogus, you can just reload and save your XP.

I'm loving this game so far. Here's to hoping it remains illadelph!

Erotically Engraved Cannon Balls.

This game is funny as crap. The story is actually fleshing out pretty well. Impressive for a western style RPG.

I love that there is no Morality system. No having to do deeds to make people like you or any of that Oblivion/Fable jazz. It allows you to make decisions more freely and just enjoy the game.

It's also dope that you don't have to repair weapons or armor. Plus, you can fall from the tallest mountain and not be hurt. Makes exploration MUCH more fluid.

I think I'm currently at level 17. 8)

I never realized that you were a stickler for framerate. Good to know for future recommendations I make. 8)
I don't care how good or bad the art direction is. It can look like something from an old Atari and I will enjoy it. Give me a game with bad framerate though and it just pisses me off.
Nothing like playing a game and at a crucial point the thing slows down more than something that slows down a lot.

This game made it's first offense last night. For whatever reason, the devs thought making one of the major Plot Dungeons a puzzlefest was a good idea. NEVER EVER EVER EVER make puzzles a part of a main storyline quest. Especially when it is such an important and emotional part of the quest that relies on pacing.

Granted, the puzzles weren't difficult. But when you sit 10ft away from a 27in HDTV, the little buttons you are supposed to hit are not exactly easy to see. It broke the pacing up too much having to go around and pull books on bookshelves to open secret doors.

Not a huge gripe or anything, I was just really surprised that they went that route. That whole chunk of the story should have just been the epic battle parts and it would have been sugarbutter.

Other than that, I now own my own castle with servants and EVERYTHING. Sweet! 8)

That's because you are a snobby PS3 gamer. You look down your nose at underdog masterpieces such as these.

I got some PSP games today, but I'm thinking I'll take them back and get this game. The demo was kinda fun, and the full game really sounds like something I would enjoy.

It's not Wild Arms unless there's a puzzle in every room of the dungeon.

One of the many reasons that V was a disappointment. It took how long to get a real puzzle in that stupid game? Last dungeon? :?

More humor. One of the books of lore you can find hidden in the game is called:

The Meaning of Life, the Universe and Everything.

Anyway. Level 24 and still digging it. It got REALLY tuff when I first reached the current land I'm exploring in the game. I'm finally leveled to the point where I can fight a bit more freely, but at first, it was not a game.
