No daylight, I'm too weak to face it!
Wow.... There is a lot (for Weidle) of detail put into this game that immerses you into the environment. Hopefully I won't get bored with it 3/4 of the way thru and quit this time around...

Although Divinity 2 DOES drop tomorrow, so Half Life 2 is prolly gonna take a back seat. :PH43R:

So you're already planning on quitting this game 1/50th of the way through instead? That sounds like a good plan.

Half Life 2 didn't feel any different than any other FPS I've ever played and I didn't have much fun with it. Now Portal and TF2 are the reasons to get The Orange Box imo, I love those 2 games.

TFM... I didn't understand what you said. Were you being sarcastic?

I made it to Ravenholm today. Still having fun.

@ Boost, the atmosphere is what separates it from most shooters to me. I'm used to being forced into tight corners where the game basically puts me on a leash. This game seems a bit more open than most shooters I've played. (I don't play many, tho)

Aight. So I made it past where I quit last time. It's still moderately enjoyable, but I can see why I quit this game. It's too long. The pacing of this game is way too slow. they try to mix it with story and atmosphere in order to push you along, but the story is to absent to really pull this off.

I hope to finish HL2 today and start the episodes. Once I finish the main game, I'll feel justified to start Divinity 2. :)

I think you had "a lot" to do with this thread.

I was just joking about how you are talking about playing HL2, but then say that since Divinity released the next day, you were already thinking of quitting again to play that instead. My thinking at the time was; why even start HL2 in the first place? I'm glad you've been sticking with HL2 though because it's a good game.

It's aight. The puzzles are getting on my nerves, tho. And the platforming in this game sucks. Platforming + First Person Perspective = Whack.

I'm ready to finish this, tho. It's dragging on. :(

Also. Why give me extra party members that only get in my way and give me game overs because they need me to protect them. If you can't program an AI teammate to fight well, don't bother giving him to me.

I can't wait.... I'm sure there is a part coming up where I'll have to save people and if one of them dies I'll be penalized. Game makers don't have a bone of originality in their bodies when it comes to creating gameplay situations.

Oh.... and would it kill these hoes to give me a map in this game. I swear I've spent more time walking around trying to figure out where to go than I have fighting...

I get that this game is supposed to be all romantic and everything. Pitting one man against the odds... Giving him just enough ammo and medkits to get by...

But hell. Even tho we had to drink water out of the Tigris river... at least the Army gave us GPS systems when we were navigating to and thru Baghdad.

Hmm walking around in circles sure feels immersive. The only good game in the OB was TF2. HL might have been better if they had finished the damn thing instead of selling out to zombies.
