How the Inlaws Stole Christmas

So here I am set with what was going to be the best Christmas ever. Got all the toys for the kid that she could ever want. I got a game I have been dying to play that I have been saving for X-Mas day. Got a PS3 and a new TV. Was going to make a nice ham dinner. Then the effin phone rings (I keep telling her that we should get rid of it because it is evil) and it is the inlaws. Saying that thier kid has volunteered the cash for them to come down and visit us. So now I gotta deal with 4 more people coming. I gotta set them up with a place to crash. And then they call back and say well we might stay over for a few days instead of just the 1 night. Poor bastards are gonna starve since we spent all of our money on the TV and PS3 and can't afford to feed 4 extra people

Christmas is always supposed to be a little bit hectic. I'm sure that they can help pitch in for a bit of food while they're visiting, as it's only in their best (survival) interests to do so. It does stink that you probably will not be able to play your game like you wanted to though. There have been many times in my past when I've gotten a brand new game for Christmas, but couldn't play it because that would be me being antisocial as usual, and Christmas is a day for spending time with family, blah, blah, blah...

:lol2:

That last little bit was a joke of course, but it wasn't totally untrue either.

What ticks me off is the fact they said not more than a month ago that they weren't coming down. So we changed Pagan's room (moved her into a big one) and had planned on a nice small family X-Mas. Just the 4 of us (including dog of course). Now everything is messed, the dog is going to cause issues (since they are cat people) and I refuse to lock her away in a room. They think we should move her back into the small room (which ain't happening the next time I take down that effin crib it is for her real bed). And worst of all I won't get my X-Mas piece. And my birthday isn't for another 8 months

tell 'em you plans are set, and that you'll send them a nice family photo christmas card, or you also got a last minute trip. Family is nice but not.... I'm thinking the kid just wanted to get rid of them. Pretend your not home when they get there.

No the kid is coming with them (he is 20 or so so kid isn't really the right term). And thank gawd he is so I will have someone to play with (although I need to find some co op games) Him and his broster (no not a typo) haven't seen Pagan yet. And she is thier first niece (or nephew) .

Huh. My in-laws are local and they're not even going to be in the same state as me for Christmas. Funny how that happens.

Don't do it. It'll probably just end up with you depressed and staring at a candle for an hour thinking about how much you hate life.

Maybe you're in the wrong part. I read somewhere B.C. was so over run with the places the police couldn't be bothered.

You'll have to go with the ny-quil then.

Ya I live about 4 hours away by plane from B.C. That doesn't surprise me though. Pot is everywhere in B.C.
