If you are contemplating Lego Indy 2 don't do it. The game is amazingly long. 96 levels plus the 6 hub levels and to get the full 1K you will have to replay 30.

How does it compare to the first? After playing Lego Batman and Lego Star Wars, I thought the first was unpolished and just not very well made.

The controls are the exact same as the others. Hell other than new levels and puzzles it is the exact same game as all the rest. The big differences is a level creator (which you can't share online  ) that is pretty extensive. Instead of just having one hub you have 6 and have to earn your characters by beating so many or by finding them or winning races. Unlocked characters don't travel from hub to hub either. Same with vehicles. And the hubs are huge so you have to walk forever to find that one character you are looking for. Along with freeplay (called quickplay) you get bonus and treasure modes. Bonus puts 2 computer picked characters in a new level to find a treasure. And treasure mode is a variation of the story level only it tells you the 2 you need (like a sword guy and a female). It is a very frustrating game. Especially during the forced driving levels. Batman and Indy 1 were much better.
