I know at one point you were making playlists for you favorite songs from a certain band/artist. I think you only did The Killers though, if I remember correctly.

Anyways, figured I'd do one quick for Offspring, since I have been listening to them. I don't have a ton of their music, so what I could pick was limited, but I feel I got most of the good stuff.

  • (Can't Get My) Head Around You
    Come Out And Play
    Defy You
    Fix You
    Gone Away
    Half-Truism
    The Kids Aren't Alright
    Kristy, Are You Doing Okay?
    A Lot Like Me
Pretty Fly (For A White Guy)
    Self-Esteem
    Stuff Is Messed Up
Totalimmortal (AFI cover found in Me, Myself, & Irene)
    Want You Bad
Why Don't You Get A Job?
    You're Gonna Go Far, Kid

I made one for the Chili Peps a very long time ago, but too many songs to list here

Still need to make one for Killers, Lupe Fiasco, Linkin Park, Eminem, Death Cab For Cutie, Dave Matthew's Band, Wilco, and Rage Against The Machine. Maybe another day, though :P

Been pimpin' since pimpin's been pimpin', pimpin'!
The lack of "Bad Habit" or "Genocide" on that list upsets me.

I'll try to compile my own little Offspring "essential" list as well. This could be a fun little project for us if we keep these kinds of things up.

Where dreams come to come true.
Hmm...originally my goal is to represent every album, but there's just not enough room for "Tehran" or anything from the s/t record lest I cut something I like more, and I couldn't cut "(Can't Get My) Head Around You" without having to cut another song anyway. Also b-sides and rare tracks had to be cut, so no "D.U.I." from my personal favorites. So I get it down to 25 songs, at a tidy 79:57, tracklisted chronologically.

01. Session
02. Kick Him When He's Down
03. Take It Like a Man
04. Dirty Magic
05. Burn It Up
06. L.A.P.D.
07. Nitro (Youth Energy)
08. Bad Habit
09. Gotta Get Away
10. Genocide
11. Come Out and Play
12. Self Esteem
13. Cool to Hate
14. Gone Away
15. I Choose
16. All I Want
17. Pretty Fly (For a White Guy)
18. The Kids Aren't Alright
19. Americana
20. Come Out Swinging
21. Original Prankster
22. Want You Bad
23. (Can't Get My) Head Around You
24. Half-Truism
25. You're Gonna Go Far, Kid

My Death Cab mix was absolutely PERFECT, but I lost the tracklisting in a computer mishap, but I can try my best to recreate it. It was stellar. :notworthy:

I'm gonna revive this. I think it'd be cool if others did this for their favorite artists. I'm gonna try and do a few every now and then. Anyway, I did one for Perfume so I had something in the car in the event of a meltdown of mp3 players. Their earlier chiptune/idol junk had to go, so it pretty much dismisses their first five years of existence and covers 2006-2010. Not really missing anything substantial anyway that isn't already collected on their first CD. :P Gonna have to be updated in a month though. "Edge (Triangle Mix)" may not last much longer. It's staggering 8:43 length had to cut "Plastic Smile" and "I Still Love U," a pair of solid mix tracks, but the grandiose nature of it makes it almost indispensable in regards to their discography and the validity of them as the best pop group in the world. This mix rounds out at 79:25 in 17 tracks.

01. Perfect Star Perfect Style
02. Computer City
03. Electro World
04. Polyrhythm
05. Chocolate Disco
06. Secret Secret
07. Puppy Love
08. Love the World
09. Dream Fighter
10. Edge (Triangle Mix)
11. Night Flight
12. One Room Disco
13. Fushizen na Girl
14. Natural ni Koishite
15. Voice
16. Nee
17. Fake It
