Where dreams come to come true.

Man, blitz, your boys have gotten a lot of bad breaks recently. There's the report of their hotel in Milwaukee being haunted. Then in the TMP fsmetal/blitz ace Special, their hotel in Pittsburgh was host in a furry convention as the Mets were staying in town. Then they finally get home...and they get to play the Dodgers, though it could always be worse. Hope your guys get healthy, blitz. They need it. |

What did I tell you about the Dodgers this season? Everyone makes a big deal about Manny playing for them, but they are a dominant team without him. In past years, you guys have made playoffs and lost in the 1st or 2nd round, but you guys have a different team this year, and much better. They way I see it, injuries aren't a decent excuse right now... it's part of the problem, but not half of it. Sheffield leads our team with HR, clocking in at 10. HALFWAY THROUGH THE SEASON! Beltran & Wright should at least be in the 13+ range, injured or not. Beltran has played enough of the season that he could have 15. And we're just not playing ball. We're making a lot of stupid errors, getting struck out against not so great pitchers, etc. I think it's mental now, it's a mental game, and our players aren't right. Jerry Manuel will be gone soon, and we'll need a transition year next season I am sure with whatever new manager we'll get. Omar Minaya, probably the same for him. He signs some great players, but when it was crunch time at the season's beginning, where was our decent SP we were to sign? Tim Redding? C'mon dude, he's ancient and can't guarantee us a solid season. Now we got Perez back on the mound tonight. I hope I don't watch the game, but if I do I'm afraid I won't be a happy camper. |
