Been listening to this, just got it a week or 2 ago... AWESOME CD. Think I like it better than Lupe Fiasco's The Cool so far, which I listened to ALL last summer. Lupe is slowly becoming my favorite hip-hop artist. The Instrumental, Kick Push, Sunshine, I Gotcha, Cool, Hurt Me Soul, are all my favorites so far, but all of the songs are amazing. |

Food & Liquor is so much better than The Cool and The Cool is a pretty decent record all in all. It's just on a much higher plane. There's some really great stuff on Food & Liquor. "Daydreamin'" "American Terrorist" "I Gotcha" "The Instrumental". Hit after hit after hit. Great album. Also, I'm not a big mix tape guy, but if you get a chance, try and find some Lupe mix tapes. Especially Fahrenheit 1/15 Part II: Revenge of the Nerds. He is :notworthy: :notworthy: on that one. Only other ones I've heard were Lupe the Jedi and Fahrenheit 1/15 Part One and those are very good as well. His new single "Shining Down" is pretty good. Check it out. |

Usually when I am trying to get into an artist, I always like the first album I hear the best. Definitely not the case here, because as I was listening to it today I didn't skip one song while I was driving. I'm a guy who, after enough re-runs of an album, go to the songs I want and switch CDs, or occasionally listen to it in full, but every single track is, like you said, a hit. When I first heard American Terrorist, I wasn't a huge fan. Few more listens and it is getting better. It like something that would be in an opening video for a MGS game... I'll have to listen to his mixtapes when I get some time. Did you see the video I posted in one of the threads around here? Lupe Fiasco in..... Conflict Diamonds. I love this song to begin with, but EVEN BETTER when Lupe does it his own way... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i3Z4K_WWeBA |

Great album. A lot of good tracks on it. My favs are Kick Push II, Instrumental, and He Say She Say. I didn't like his second album much. |

Yeah, "Conflict Diamonds" is on Revenge of the Nerds. He does a great job on it. I loved Kanye's solo version of it, especially when he's got that line about going to church, but Lupe does a tremendous job on it. Great lyrics. |
