Phoenix Wright 3 seems like it's going to be crazy long. The first only took me 12 hours, but I think I've already sunk 8+ hours into this one and I'm only through Case 2.

I replayed the game earlier this year and iirc, the last case itself takes like 8 hours, but I LOVED it though, especially the ending.

Ys: Oath... is so much fun! I love how fast paced the combat has remained, even though the pressing of buttons has been added. Doing battle outside of a battle screen, right in the middle of the dungeon, with no lame transition is right on! It would seem that speed is what these games are all about and I really appreciate that. Also, this game has really ramped up the difficulty, but so far it has been fine, with only the boss fights giving me any real problems.

I heard the game is changed from side scrolling to top down view... is it?

Reverse those two, top-down to side-scrolling, and yes. However a lot of the camera angles are still really high, so a top down view isn't totally gone.

Yes, which is why I am enjoying these games so much. :yay: It is like the pace of a Castlevania game, but with the RPG elements in terms of story and leveling and such.

@kknd: I was unaware of what the original PC-88 game looked like. This PSP remake is very different, but it's still made by Falcom, so it's all good.

the cool thing about Y's games is that they all last less than 10 hours.

Which of the many, many versions of Ys 1 and 2 (separately or together) is the best?

I would think that the PSP versions are best, since they are the most recent and done by Falcom themselves.

Infamous 50% at that part where you have to take down the balloons

Disgaea 3 84%? hours played scaled way back because the last three pirates are a crapshoot and I can use the weapons I have left to level for hunting them because they'ed be untouchable stat wise. So just that and the reverse viking :(

I think I'll start Brutal Legend today to see how that goes. or maybe ArToneleco 3 (still haven't even touched it since I got it)
