kknd? :P

And between Jeanne D'Arc, FFVII Crisis Core, Dissida: FF, Valkyria Chronicles 2, FFXIII Agito, and more I just can't remember right now, I think a PSP (older models...they go for a reasonible price) would be a good investment.
Oops. I knew who it was, but said the wrong name anyway.

Jeanne D'Arc is really the only of those I'd be excited about. I considered ordering it online before I gave the PSP back, but it would've been too much hassle.

Plus, between the Wii, DS and now a PS3 I have WAY more games coming out than I can keep up with anyway. Heck, it was a losing battle even before I got the PS3. ;)

Size Matters isn't really worth bothering with. The controls are kinda wonky, and the whole game just feels a bit...off.

I started playing Barkley Shut Up and Jam: Gaiden. I know I'm about 2 years late, but it's still awesome that this exists...

As LBP goes on it gets harder. As it gets harder the fact that the platforming itself is not well done becomes a bigger and bigger problem. There've been a number of times the poor platforming has been a problem (there was one level in Mexico, I think, where you had to use bouncing platforms to leap around that was hang yourself frustrating), but this Japan world has just been a hot mess. The final boss in particular is a nightmare. I can't count how many times my guy wouldn't grab or jump left instead of straight up and lost the battle. It'd also help if there wasn't a lag between the button press and leap, I didn't float 10 mins in the air and skid like Luigi on ice.

I started checking out some of the user created content in LBP and let me say, there is some REALLY cool stuff out there. I found this one SMB level that was incredibly well done. I think I'm getting close to the end of Story Mode too. India was much better than Japan, and I think I've only got one level left. Then I'm going to do the GOTY stuff and then I'll try my hand at creating a level. I'm surprised none of y'all bar boost seems to have done that yet. We'll see how it turns out. :D

going full steam in spirits tracks, very nice so far :), not too happy about the limited mobility in the world map though (you can't get off the train in the world map)

Finished the story mode in LBP (the ending was great), the history and monster packs and the MGS expansion. I've started on the community levels they included and I've also been playing some random ones in the real community. I've found some really cool stuff there. I dunno how long I'll be able to hold off giving level building a shot.

I'll probably also pick up VC tomorrow again. I've been a little hesitant lately because I've heard Ch 7 is absolute murder and I'm kind of dreading that.

People lie, oh how they lie. 7 was super intense, don't get me wrong, but 8 was absolute MURDER for me to get through. I had to restart that battle so many times it was straight up embarassing. What a difference it made when I realized my lancer could hit the mortar though and then take the hidden path to get behind the tank that was slaughtering anyone who so much as moved. Largo doesn't get the most action of my troops in battle, but he's saved the day in more battles than I can count.

But yeah, I spend at least as much time losing this game as I do playing it. If my actual game clock's at 10+ hours, I can't imagine what actual time spent has been. The only other time I've chugged through something like that was my first time through FFT. Any other game I would've quit.

I've also made sure to do all the reports (cause they're awesome) and skirmishes (cause the EXP and funds don't hurt), as well.

How is Trine? I got full intentions on picking it up unless I hear bad things about it.

It's magical :p I love it...and I'm not even that far into it yet. There's action/platforming, and there are some great puzzles to solve, the music and setting are great, there's a 'Very Hard' difficulty, if you're looking for a challenge. I think it's well worth it for just $20. Plus I think you might like the Platinum Trophy :P

Well, I learned a valuable lesson tonight. If you go for trophies, do it from the beginning. Don't just play the game for fun, then realize, "Hey, I've got a lot of trophies, I bet I could go for platinum." 2 1/2 hours I spent trying to use every combo on the handful of enemies in the beginning of a new game in Prince of Persia. Only to find out I didn't do one correctly. GREAT. It'd take hours of playing in order to unlock the next areas with new enemies to try that again. Not happening. At least that saved me the hassle of trying to round up the last 100 light seeds. It is really frustrating to be 2 trophies shy of platinum though. :(

At least I scooped up some others I missed last playthrough since I wasn't going after them then, though.

I like going through a game the first time without worrying about trophies or anything like that. Are you gonna go for the LBP platinum? There's one trophy for acing every single story level and I was pulling my hair out trying to ace the collectors lair and the bunker. That damn giant wheel at the end of the bunker killed me so many times I was going crazy.
