Power went out due to the storm, so I started up Ghost Trick. This game is kind of completely kickass. Supercool graphics, interesting story, clever puzzles. :thumb:
it IS pretty cool huh? and plus they give you enough hint just so the game won't become tedious with the harder puzzles later.

No daylight, I'm too weak to face it!
Torchlight - It's simple... It's fun... It's all I have the patience to play right now. Everything else has been boring... Although... Fortress Craft was fun as crap too. I may have to buy the full version of that. I can now see why Minecraft is so addictive.

My Lufia II craving kicks in, so I'm playing through it again, playing through the second dungeon now. Amazing soundtrack :)

Also went back to my Ys marathon and got a bit further in YsIV, the battle system really sucks, good thing the game is kind of short, can't wait to finish this one so I can move on to the other games of the series (with much better battle systems)

Playing Kendo Rage also, this is one of those "unknown games that you played at a friend's house" of mine, I got to the last boss some 15 years ago, I would have finished this back then if I didn't have to go home. So I have to finish it this time :P, the game is bit harder than I thought but I'm sure I can beat it this time. :)

Master of the Monster Lair... I started this last week and have been playing this on my bus trips to school, the battles are really slow, so slow it's starting to get annoying, and the game is a bit different from what I thought it would be. I was thinking that it would be similar to dungeon keeper or what did I do to deserve this, my lord, but no, you build the dungeons to lure the monsters in, but you are the one who's going to fight them. What you need to do is to make the dungeon big enough so the boss of the level pops up, then you defeat it, go to the next level using the ladder left behind by the boss, then rinse and repeat. The game is a bit short so I think I'll be able to finish this one before I get tired of the freaking slow battle system.

I don't know if I've just gone stupid from playing this game all day, if I just can't wrap my head around using 2 sets of abilities, or if the difficulty really does hop post-Ch 14.

EDIT:

It was retardation on my part. I turned it off both times to give my brain a rest and figured out what needed to be done in seconds when I came back to it. 8)

Started playing GoldenEye 007 on the Wii tonight. I am going to be blunt about this, this game sucks, so far. I was the biggest ever fan of the original N64 game, still have the poster on my wall, but this remake is not that game. No, I am not hating on this game because it doesn't live up to what I remember of the original through rose colored glasses, but because at three missions into the game, this reeks of a cash-in made by Activision for those of us who are suckers for nostalgia.

I may stop playing this game tomorrow.

Yeah, its so stupid how Nintendo blocked the release of the HD Goldeneye only to let Activision release this stinker. I also hate how it doesn't support 480P so it looks horrible on my HDTV. :(

Yeah, the graphics are quite terrible. I've seen much prettier GCN games. One of the most shining examples of bad graphics and programming is how the screen goes blurry every time a weapon is reloaded. What is that about?

Started de Blob 2. I miss the swing the wiimote to jump. Well, I like A better to jump, but I loved swinging the wiimote to attack or smash crates or activate things. Plus, who didn't love the maracas to activate some switches? They don't even have an option to switch it back. :(

I like that they removed the waggle to jump stuff, it was always unnecessary and felt like something that was done solely because the game was on the Wii. Jumping with the A button seemed to help me control Blob better and I noticed far less jumping errors. I didn't mind shaking the controller to pump color into buildings though, but think that the new side-scrolling parts are even more fun and interesting.

p.s. I got the S ranking in each stage.

I'd argue the opposite. The only reason they took out the awesome shake the wiimote to slam into stuff is because they made it multiplatform. ;)

Playing Phoenix Wright 3. These games just aren't in the same league as Ghost Trick. They're kind of quirky and fun, but also really frustrating in their execution. Trying to find the correct path to lead the characters along when you've already solved the entire case and dealing with the stupid have to find the murderer with 18 pieces of evidence to somehow prove your client is innocent just gets kind of old. Stories are good, though.

Also, if the first case is any indication, this one is going to be looooong.

that phoenix on the first case just gets on your nerves right? :P

the last case is really really really long :P

the story and the ending is great though and you can't really compare this to ghost trick since they did ghost trick after PW3.

They did FFXIII after FFX and it doesn't hold a light to it. With something like the adventure genre, there's not exactly bounds of innovation over time.

any good developer would improve over time :P

ghost trick was exceptional though considering that's their first attempt... too bad they wrapped up the ending too tight so a sequel would probably involve completely different characters.
