Played a bit of Gears of War, finally got passed act 1. The game is pretty good so far, I don't know why I didn't like it last time.

10 hours in My world, my way, it's pretty funny so far the way they portrait the spoiled princess aka the main character, like how she handles other enemies and NPCs. The battle system is very unbalanced though, some skills and magics are just way too powerful. It's still a fun game to play though.

Okay, so I think I'm done with LBP2 for the time being. It lasted me 2 1/2 months, so not too shabby. I used the trophies as my guide and finished up all but 1 of what I intended to (my internet's not good enough to get any that require other online players and I have 0 interest in prize bubbles, spending 24 hours building levels or acing the game).

The one I'm probably going to give up for lost is the 50 unique players played your level one. Because there's pretty much 0 chance of a new publisher getting plays. I've published twice. Between the two times, I've gotten a sum total of 3 plays and 1 rude review (which has left a REALLY sour taste in my mouth). I've deleted the level for now and I'll try publishing again Friday night when traffic is higher. If that's a bust, screw it. I should probably tag a popular game or TV show in my title for plays.

That annoyance aside, I've really enjoyed the game. It's a definite improvement over the predecessor and if I could only own one game for my PS3, this would be the one I picked. Lots of crap online, sure, but there's also some downright brilliant and inspired things, as well.

Anyone who played it: How long is Phantom Brave? I've owned it for like a year now and still haven't made time to play it.

My save says 46 hours but I did a bit a bonus stuff though, so I'm guessing... 40 hours?

It's a great game besides the fact that you have to rush levels most of the time. Level ups are less tedious than Disgaea (see Titlist level up trick) and Marona is sooo cute, she almost turned me into a pedophile!!! (just kidding for the second part)

Yeah, 35-40 hours seems about right. I remember being hard up for cash for too long in it, but a lot of the concepts were neat. Didn't care for being rushed on some of the levels, and never did any bonus stuff since I just didn't like it enough to.

Started Radiant Historia. So far it's very chatty and kind of boring. Plus, ugly as foot. I'm hoping I get more into it. :(

Adjusting more to Radiant Historia. It's definitely not what I expected. I was thinking Chrono Trigger. It's actually got far more in common with 999. It's a series of events that must be repeated and redone in the correct orders with the right pieces in play to unlock the true path. Meaning lots of doing stuff in other histories to go back into your first and advance. It's even got the same skip dialog option since you'll see the same scenes multiple times to get to the new bits.

Plus, and I don't know if this'll be true the whole game but it is for the first 2 1/2 hours, it's really more of a visual novel than RPG. I've explored a total of one dungeon in bits and pieces. And that's not really a full dungeon so much as doing bits and pieces to get to the next set of events. Each screen only has a total of like 2 battles (not random- it's a touch the enemy to instigate system), too.

So yeah, not at all what I was expecting. I'm getting into it now, though, since I've acclimated to what this game's about.

If you're going to put enemies on the map, make it possible to freaking dodge them. They beeline towards you at the same speed, so god help you if you need to turn cause now not only do you have to fight, but you got ambushed and all 10 of everyone gets a hit in first. Battles in here go on FOREVER.

It also has the same dumbass leveling that Suikoden uses. Where you gain levels up to the dungeon's level super quick and then hit a glacial pace. So it's in your interest to skip every fight cause you'll make it all up in like 4 battles in the next area. :?

Honestly, this one's a definite pass as far as I'm concerned. Yet another waste of money as I seem to be on the world's worst streak.

I started up a challenge run of Ratchet and Clank: Crack in Time. I remember being really impressed by the game, but also annoyed by trophy nonsense. So I wanted to replay it straight through at some point. And Spring Break is as good a time as any. Especially since Trine was the other PS3 game I meant to replay and I'm trying to avoid Radiant Historia.

Sonic and Sega All Stars Racing - Dope Kart Racer is what it should be called. I played the HELL out of that joint for about 3 weeks and enjoyed every minute. Now I play it with my son because it's one of the few games he can actually "play."

Magna Carta 2 - I don't know what's up with this game. I'm bored and completely unmotivated to keep playing it. The story seems pointless... The characters are cool, but I remember the PS2 Magna Carta having better graphics. I think my problems with MC2 are more me than the game. I haven't been able to get motivated to play anything but Sonic Racing. The combat system is cool like they said, though.

I have heard that that is a great kart racer. Glad to hear you enjoyed it. Maybe I should check it out. I, also, want to look into Modnation Racers. I want to buy the full game.

I want to play MR, but my internet is such ass that I wouldn't be able to play with others online and I feel like that's half the appeal of that one. :(
