Hm. DQIV is very straightforward and with little open world exploration so far, so this change could be interesting. On the one hand, I enjoy knowing that I am on the correct path. On the other, being told exactly where to go, such as being told that the item I am looking for is in the cave to the west, is perhaps a bit too much hand-holding.
Yeah, I've never had this much trouble figuring out what to do in a game before. It's really turned me off the experience a lot. My personal favorite hint right now: "Maybe we should explore under the sea." Like that isn't half the map (and when you figure in the fact there are TWO maps...) and you don't get in a battle every 2 steps (that's really not an exaggeration).

:thumb: I've heard that Heroes Paradise was going to be localized sometime this year. I would love to play this game for a third time with even better graphics. Although, the game could lose some of its charm being on another system, losing things like receiving calls through the Wiimote speaker, etc...

ya... I'd take wiimote control over better graphics any day, it's still fun though, but not as fun as swinging the wiimote :D

In the Wii version of the game, you didn't actually have to swing the Wiimote too much. Normal attacks were handled by mashing the A button. Motion controls were only used for two things: 1. Flicking the Wiimote to use the Dark Step technique to slow combat and avoid attack, and 2. Performing various wrestling moves prompted by arrows on the screen.

What was coolest about the Wii version of the game was some of the 4th wall breaking stuff. An example would be how whenever Sylvia calls your phone, her voice comes out of the Wiimote speaker, enticing the player to hold the Wiimote up to their ear like a phone.

I am about 66 hours into Fallout: New Vegas, and I am doing quests for places surrounding the strip itself. Places like Freeside and the Crimson Caravan

It's been how long since Dragon Age Origins was released? I figured maybe enough time has passed and can I try playing it again to get those last 12 levels for the mage and finish the platinum for it. I was wrong in the first 5 min it turned painful like excruciating. I remember reading about one spot in the ps3 version to make some quick levels but I have to go through the fade again gah. I think it's killed any potential interest I'd ever have in anything bioware makes ever again.

what ever you do with the wiimote is now replaced by right and left analog, kind of annoying when you have to rotate the right analog stick fast in the middle of action. (like when you cross swords with an enemy)

the phone part is completely gone... :/

I like that at one point we sell our souls to demons and murder people in order to get our hands on a treasure. Why? Because that's the only way to continue the story. We don't even know what's in the treasure chest. But, then again, we haven't done anything in this game from helping random towns to collecting random legendary equipment for reasons. Reasons are for games with story.

That said, we did have a plot twist. The plot went from "something feels off, go explore the world" to "a random king told us there's a bad guy in an evil realm, go get him!" Epic adventure!!

I believe that I am nearing the end of DQIV. I have been to Zenithia and am now about to enter the cave where I think the final boss resides.

SPOILERS FOR NEW VEGAS
'

WTF Mr House :| At first he was this computer. Then he was this old man, who I killed after killing Benny. Apperently the NCR does not want me to put Yes Man in charge of New Vegas. I got the best armor in the game from Arcade. I am, now, a walking god. I, also, got peace between the Brotherhood and the NCR. The NCR didn't like that much. I cannot help but wonder why. Isn't peace what they want?! Whatever.

Guess who sucks at the DJ Max games? This :yay: guy. You'd think that some of my Guitar Hero skills would help me out, but nope, not really. I am playing on the easiest mode, on the easiest difficulty and still panicking on any song above a Lvl3. Oh well, the game is fun and interesting, so I can see myself improving with more practice.

Note: I started with DJ Max Portable 3, because it is in English language.

Started God of War 3. Playing through on Titan mode for kicks. If it becomes too challenging, I'll drop it, but, for now, I'm gonna ride it for as long as I can. It's giving a solid challenge right now, but, because it has generous save points (so far), it's fun instead of frustrating. Died a lot, but I never feel like I'm wasting my time.

And holy crap is it epic. I always forget the massive scale these games employ. And, unlike Screeny McTeary volume 2, this one looks GORGEOUS.

Edit: Meant to say checkpoints, not save points. Actually, it has very few save points, but that isn't really a problem unless you only have 15 minutes and absolutely HAVE to play GoW3.
