Where dreams come to come true.

It's cool when a game can mirror real life. :D :D |

hmmm... I don't remember, I'd tell you if I still have a working PS3, but try to make the hardest things you could from your list. I remember that I had to load from an earlier save to get that achievement though, like from earlier year 3. |

Yeah, the problem is the stuff on my list sucks. I've got everything from stores, but those books are filled with wackness that takes 5 days to make for like 50 EXP out of the 300 it takes to level. :? |

I've started DQIV. My only complaint is that they went a mot too far wit tae lang' me wits. Other than that, this game seems like it will be a lot of fun. |

Raise your hand if this assignment in Night's Domain bit you in the ass. Level 20 is getting my team slaughtered before we can even flee (which is obscenely hard for some reason). Edit: And.... once again I'm screwed out of something I wanted to do because I didn't do the super secret order of events in order to get what I wanted. Why would I just bake pies for a pie ending? No, I've got to trigger a flag. Also, unlock a dungeon. Also, hit level 25 adventurer to unlock said dungeon. There's nothing to do in this game and what little there is is all hidden by arbitrary (some are literally luck based how they trigger for you to complete) tasks unless you have a guide printed in front of you. All of which would be okay if you had unlimited time, but no, we cut you off and make you replay to try and create a facsimile of value. This is one of the absolute crappiest games I've ever played. Not in a "RARGH! Angry!" sense, but rather in a LOL@ how awful sense. Cheapness aside, is there anything this game does well? Alchemy is decent, if limited in scope. Battling sucks. There's no social aspect to speak of. No story. It's like someone took Rune Factory, cut the crafting system in half, gimped the battle system and made it turn based and then removed absolutely everything else. It's extremely limited and what there is present isn't well done. Edited by nate, Feb 17 2011, 06:36 AM.

What I did was run and dodge. Then, there's a section where I have to fight birds to get the exit. Luckily, I was mass producing Globes for EXP, which did like 1300 damage to multiple enemies. |

Agh....so I'm playing some NBA 2K11, My Player mode, which is awesome, cause I like that. Anyway, my player is a rookie for the Nets, just took the starting job, and has recorded two straight triple doubles. Problem is, we're on a 10-game losing streak, 4-15 overall, and it's really starting to piss me off. Blown two ten point leads in a row, got a brutal schedule coming up. Upsets me I can't get my team wins. :whatever: I'd ask for a trade, but I'd prefer to not think of my player as an asshole. |

I'm loving DQVI. The pun thing was taken back down to stomachable levels in this one. I like the cutesy monster names and puns, but it was serious overkill in DQIX. I'm interested in the characters and story and having fun there. One interesting aspect is this one has you thinking a little more about how to solve things. I've already hit some puzzles in dungeons and some story dialogue isn't as simple as just talking to someone. One thing to be wary of is that it has a very high encounter rate. On the world map it's insane. You get maybe 4 steps tops before another encounter hits. Luckily, battle speed is pretty high, so encounters fly by. I've heard to different theories about the encounter rate. One says it was raised to get rid of the need for leveling. The other says it's the same as always but because your walking speed is faster it feels higher. I incline towards the second. Not because I've needed to level (because I still maintain leveling is not necessary in DQ titles), but simply because it makes more sense. Anyway, I'm having a blast so far. It's definitely just as strong as IV and V were. |

DQVI is so good. It's easily my favorite not named VIII. And that edge might only be there because of nostalgia. Plus, it looks like it's going to be much longer than IV or V was. |

Secret of Mana is one of the most boring games I've ever played. It's also one of the very few that I quit not in annoyance but out of a sheer lack of will to continue. |
