Yeah, I want to play that one, but $15 seemed steep. I plan to just hold off for the inevitable 50% off sale like I always do. :D

I just read the IGN review of Atelier Rorona. Am I playing the same game as those guys? The monotonous and time complaints I get, but half the review is complaining about weirdness and inappropriate sexual humor. This is one of the tamest games I've ever played. :?

That IGN review is one of the worst reviews I've seen there, which says something to me. They loaded up on one idea, and ran for a mile with it, despite it being a really poor idea to run with. They should've probably kept that trash in the vault so they could mail in the Ar Tonelico 3 review, though a quick copy/paste job wouldn't be hard to pull off for them, I'm sure.

I went up the trail to Black Mountain and had to back off once I reached it because of radiation. I do not know what I need to do to fight off radiation for long enough to get that quest done. I found the Reppcon main office and raided it. I found some power armor, but I cannot wear it yet. It took me a long time to raid that place because there were so many security droids, but I gained a level while I was there. It was worth it.

Do you have a rad suit? I believe the first suit you get is in a quest not far from Novac. I think you get the quest that will get you the suit while doing the quest at the Repconn facility, but it has been so long that I can't remember anymore. Other than that, be sure to carry Rad-Away and Rad-X to boost your radiation resistance.

@Nate: I downloaded all of the DLC puzzles for the first Layton game. Many of them were fun, a couple stupid, and there are a few that I cannot figure out yet. After playing these puzzles, I have lost interest in starting the next Layton game right now. For some reason, there is only so much of this game that I can stand before becoming agitated.

Up next, I'll either play more FPS games like Bioshock 2 and Halo Reach, or DQIV.

No. I have not gotten a Rad suit yet. There is, also, a heavily radiated town guarded by the NCR that I cannot get anywhere near. There is an airport near it

I got sucked back into D3 :( Just when I was about to put it back down I figured out if I max Adell's Big Bang skill and load him up with specialists I can use LoC trial four to make him jump hundreds of levels per battle then I can use his mercy evility to make the stage easy pickins for any character who can actually hit level 9000 enemies. Unfortunately it had the side effect of raising the cost of that skill so much I'm going to have to keep running back and forth to the hospital every stage after he reincarnates till his SP gets back up. But for the first time ever in a Disgaea Game I actually have lvl 9999 characters, Mao, Adell Champloo and soon to be that Needlework ninja girl.

Lord only knows most of them trophies are luck based Even the ones you can prepare and aim for are still aways off for me. I'd still need to properly level some equipment then dupe it in class world. Probably never because I have this nasty habit of getting caught up in messing around with the generic characters I still haven't even touched the Raspberyl chapters and I got those when they were released. Neptunia should be showing up soon too. If i buckle down develope a plan stick to it get fairly lucky. I may be able to do it before D4 hits the states

I found the Repcon facility. There as some kind of cult of ghouls there, as well as a bunch of nightkin super mutants. It was relatively easy to get through. I managed to save the one human that was with them. as well. He is in Novac now. I, also, went to Black Mountain and killed Tabitha. There is a Mexican zombie there  I killed a TON of Deathclaws in and around the Quary. That is hard when you are level 15. It took me HOURS to kill them all, but I did it. I wound up standing on rocks where they could not reach me and picking them off with the flame thrower

This game is too damned finnicky for its own good. It tries to mask an actual lack of content by blocking you out of the very little content there is unless you have a FAQ and do the right things at the right times. "Oh, you didn't see that event? Time to replay!" Which completely defeats the purpose of an open ended RPG. Honestly, this game kind of sucks, but since I've got nothing better to do and it hasn't actively annoyed me, I'll keep going.

Edit: Something that was driving me nuts: I could SWEAR my trust level kept dipping and I could not for the life of me figure out why. Turns out it has to do with Cordelia's ending. I've triggered 4 of the requests of hers and each drops you 5%. Meaning I'd be at 82% right now if it weren't for her. Curse you Cordelia!

Also, why on Earth did they animate Lionela's breasts to be constantly bouncing? Girl is standing still and those things are wiggling around like gophers under her dress. :?

I was thinking as I played it that this game would be the perfect strategy guide game for so many reasons, but NIS is too broke to fund one, so it kinda sucked. Cory's request stuff would be interesting to know beforehand. Is that her stuff or the stuff she hides behind in the castle? I noticed I kept getting jacked on town trust, likely because of taking her requests, but I wasn't sure whose it was.

And yeah, Cordelia's bounciness is absurd. EVERYTHING she does and those smack her in her face.

Kill.me.please. I've turned into a zombie. I stayed home from work today and by lack of something better to do have spent 7 hours playing this stupid game. I'm on Year 3 Month 3. And since yesterday was Valentine's there was candy sitting out. So I've been zoned out eating candy all day long. I feel like AWFULNESS. My head's splitting, my stomach hurts, and I'm filled with the knowledge that this was the absolute worst way I could've spent my day. I'm still in pajamas, for crying out loud!

Anyway, I got 100% trust already. I don't know if I'll hit alchemy level 50, though, which is driving me nuts. Nothing seems to have a decent payout anymore. Used to be I'd be rolling in alchemy experience and have to invest very little time to get there. Hom may or may not hit 50 either. She's at 42, but EXP has slowed to a crawl with her. I'm not even attempting adventurer 50. Honestly, the battle system stinks, so I don't even bother going out anymore.
