Beat Prince of Persia. Awesome game. I got A LOT more trophies than I had thought I would, including 2 I could've sworn there was no chance I'd get (finish under 12 hours and die less than 100 times). I really only went out of my way to get one or two. Since I'm only 100 light seeds away from collecting all those and I'd only need to play an hour to get to the first appearances of the bosses in the beginning to do the stuff there, I may give it a shot and try to get them all. I dunno. I also tried to download the Epilogue but freaking PSN refused to accept my credit card. Who knows what that place's beef is with me now.

How so? They show you the exact route you need to get wherever you want, you cannot die from platforming and when you are saved, you're throw back to the beginning of the sequence and combat's pretty intuitive.

Combat is decent. The friggin horrible platforming is what pist me off.

Truth be told, I didn't manage my expectations of this game properly. I went into it thinkin it was an open world adventure game when all it is is a puzzle/platformer with some combat tossed in to break up the monotony.

So, I don't know if it's the game that sucks, or just me being mad because I didn't do my research prior to buying it. Prolly a mixture of both.

How long did you play it, out of curiousity? I was annoyed my first night with it, but I fell more and more in love the longer I played. There were very few puzzling sections, but it does have an open world. It's just an open world platformer instead of an open world adventure game.

I beat that first Darkspawn dude and shut the temple down and then went to the top of the second temple and beat that causing the million balls of light to come out. After that I just platformed around lost and frustrated because the platforming was not particularly fun. Some parts were downright annoying because of the shatty camera angle in the game.

I have every intention of beating it. I paid good money for it, so I plan to give it another shake. It just lost priority with me cuz I was turned off by the "eternal jumping to the next ledge" delivery.

Use the compass. The name is misleading. I got lost for forever and annoyed my first night too. It sounds like the same scenario happened with you. But yeah, the compass isn't so much a compass as it is an exact path finder. Don't just look at the direction it went. Trace the route it uses and you'll get there.

I will say this: do NOT get the Epilogue. This thing is AWFUL. It's the same platforming but with longer between pauses and more traps in a really dull looking world and one of the absolute worst re-uses of a boss I've ever seen. It does absolutely nothing right and sucks absolutely all of what made the original game good out. No color, no spacious areas that are jaw-droppingly gorgeous, annoying platforming sections (and I'll agree that the platforming in this game isn't the tightest on the planet). Heck, it even retcons the ending.

So I decided my gaming sessions were missing something. And that something was hour long elevator rides. So I am playing Mass Effect again with the DLC packs. It will be a good palette cleanser after Avatar.

 @ hour long elevator rides. It's funny. I went back to do the DLC and had completely forgotten how to play the game. I got served. It was weird because the last time I had played the game before recently was my birthday a year ago.... And I think I played the DLC on my birthday this year.

I am gonna start a whole new game (like I have a choice). It will give me a chance to shape ME2 in a different way since I never did 2 of the critical choices differently.

I finished Phantasy Star Zero last night, so I think I'll play Arc The Lad 2 next.

It was pretty good. It is very much like Phantasy Star Online. That's not a bad thing in this case, since that game only had a few minor issues that this game fixes. There's a roll button now, which is extremely useful for dodging attacks, and you no longer have to quit the game to save.

It only took me about 10 hours to finish the game. That was just on Normal mode, though. After beating the final boss, extra missions were unlocked, along with Hard mode. I can also unlock Super Hard mode as well.

I can also play as a different character class as well. I picked a Warrior-type character, but there's gun users, robots, mages, and more agile warriors as well.

The only problems I had with the game were minor. The story is generic, anime crap. Thankfully, all the scenes can be skipped. The partner AI is also stupid, but they never level up, and the game never forces you to rely on them so I did not worry about it.
