Enslaved is interesting. It's not what I expected. I was kind of expecting PoP 08 but slightly different. And while that is there a bit, there's also Uncharted, Fallout and Bayonetta. It's also surprisingly challenging on hard. I had to retry my first real fight in Ch 2 multiple times before I realized there was health to grab. I don't know what's up with the blocking, but I think it's worked for me once. I need to get that figured out. And the rolling is not the world's most effective method of staying alive if that's all you're using.

Okay, so the blocking thing was a glitch. APPARENTLY sometimes random buttons on the controller won't work in this game and you need to reset to fix it. Awesome.

One thing I can't stand about this game: FINALLY got control over my camera (Jak did a number on me) and now I can't shoot worth crap. I'm used to controlling my aiming independent of the camera. This game has them mapped the same. I guess that works great with console FPS fans, but I can't hit the broadside of a barn like this and am stuck. I think I'll have to redo my camera. :(

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

I am so pissed off right now. Before my 360 gave me the RROD, I was a joyous 70+ hours into Fallout NV. All of that progress was lost, but I started all over again once I got a new console. The game was fun, so while I wasn't happy about it, I didn't mind so much, until tonight. One of the side quests in this game has now glitched for me. It is a well known glitch, but that doesn't make me feel any better, since I had luckily avoided all glitches on my first play only to now have something ruined.

I tried loading older save files, hoping to get behind the glitch and move on, but this isn't working. I went back a couple of hours into older save files, but the character I need to complete a quest is still glitched. Now, I could just not complete this mission, since I know what happens already and it isn't terribly important to the game, but it is the principal of the thing that has now made me so upset that I don't think I can continue playing this game.

So, for now, I am giving up on F:NV. I will try to go to a GameStop store this weekend to see if there is anything they can do to help me rescue my old save from my dead 360's HDD. If not, then I simply refuse to play this game until it is well patched in the future, if ever.

F***!

see if there's any used data transfer cable at gamestop that you can "borrow"

That is what I would do, if my old console still worked. As it stands, my best bet would be to bring my HDD and a TD to the store and see if they'd let me use a store display 360 to get my data off. However, even that might not work, since in order to format the memory stick the console has to have had the latest update and may (I think) even need to be able to get online.

Honestly, it is almost more trouble than it's worth.

I am thinking about breaking out my racing wheel setup today in preparation for GT5. I may just play GT5P until the 24th, for practice sake. It has been a while since I played a racing game, so I might be rusty. With my luck lately, the wheel will break somehow just hours before GT5 arrives. :lol2:

Why is it Tales of Vesperia boss fights are always more taxing than need be? I'm beating the dirt out of this guy, go Over Limit three times, still exhaust my stock of Life Bottles and Gels and still have to beat this guy senseless to the tune of 1/3 of his HP.

Bout to go level grind somewhere... :sigh: Can't get anywhere in this dungeon pulling 500-800 EXP per fight when I need 20,000 to level up.

The problem is that the AI is not helping... or actually the only thing they are useful at is being your human shield.

So Enslaved is not a good game. It controls horribly. The guy has two speeds- death sprint and granny. Needless to say, neither of those is particularly quick on the turns. Add to that a horrendous camera, noticeable delay and really cheap gameplay and you've got a pretty lousy game. Shame too cause the non-game parts are really good. I'm torn between switching to easy and just blitzing through and chalking it up as a loss. (Or, rather, a gain since I'd make $5 by trading it in).

So I decided to give Crash Bandicoot a shot. Thank God that was only $3. What an awful game. That may be the single worst thing I've ever played. THAT was the PS's response to SM64? It's amazing Sony didn't get completely ROFLstomped.

Yeah, it's frustrating doing this fight without healers. Karol seems to only heal when he wants to, and you can't tell him to, and Rita won't touch item supply for anything, plus everyone else throws up Apple Gels before Lemon Gels. I spend too much time item healing that I can't just unleash hell and high water with Yuri.

Thinking I might just have to take control of Karol and heal, but I just hate fighting with him. Ugh.

You break a leg off Yuri and I think he still controls better than Karol, they should put a finish the game while controlling Karol achievement just to piss off the achievement whores. I only use Estelle as healer...

that sucks... on top of it, they are going to make the next Devil May Cry... omg... :(

... and I thought I was the only one who doesn't like Crash Bandicoot... :P

I don't know what's going on with this goddamned game. I absolutely cannot play it for the life of me. I don't know if I just suck at it, if it's just that poorly done or what, but it's a really shitty experience. I won't be touching anything else made by this developer, that's for sure.

Yeah, Estelle is my preferred healer, but...

I ended up beating the boss. I figured the best thing to do was run around in circles and have him chase me while I revived and item healed everyone so they could do it. :P
