Sigh... I really, really wish Final Fantasy V was over. It's a fantastic game, but damn if it also isn't one of the most tedious to slough through. :(

All I'm saying...

Atelier Rorona needs a strategy guide. Too much stuff to remember as far as what goes into what and what needs to be what and your mom.

I'm honestly okay with watching a bunch of events, to be honest. I don't care...but this game needs to recognize when I just want to create an item to blow up this rock I've been unsuccessfully trying to blow up for a month. Let me get this rock out of the way, then you can have odd family building exercises all day long. 8)

I have absolutely no idea how I feel about FF: 4 Heroes of Light. Do I love it? Hate it? Am I frustrated? Having fun? Is it charming and fresh? Annoying and outdated? I honestly could not even tell you and I'm like a third in.

I started Fallout NV yesterday. I am enjoying the game so far. I know many people have been talking about bugs and glitches in the game, but I haven't seen any yet. I will be sure to keep you guys posted if this changes. In the meanwhile, I had fun doing a few missions last night and I can't wait to keep playing. Maybe this game will last over 100 hours, just like Fallout 3.

Also, I am playing on Hardcore/Normal, and the game is fun. It is basically just a few more gauges to keep an eye on, but it has been no problem so far. I think it makes the game feel a bit more realistic.

I played a lot of Atelier Rorona today, I got up to October and 3 starred the first three assignments. It has been pretty intense so far with the deadlines as I try to take on as much quests as I can (only missed one deadline so far which is pretty good I guess)

got up to F13 in Etrian Odyssey (around halfway I guess), freaking FOE made me lose around 1h of progress :/
they really go all out with FOEs in this game... the FOEs on F13 can pop up right next to you on the 2nd turn of any random encounter, so anytime it takes you more than 3 turns to fight off the enemies, bam, a freaking FOE pops into the fight...

Be careful on quests, kknd. I mean, really. If you take on a bunch of quests and you're short on a synthesis item or two, you can really find yourself screwed, especially if you have to go out of town or have to create items that take a bit longer to synthesize.

As for assignments. You should be able to finish those in the first week or two. They've been a breeze for the most part. The tonic one I finished on the first day since I had some tonics already made and just took 'em to the castle and voila, assignment completed. :P

So I think 4 Heroes of Light is the best Final Fantasy and RPG in a long while except when it isn't. That's the best I can do.

ya the assignments is a bit too easy so far, I think I actually submitted too much items, now I know that I don't need to fill up every bar to get 3 stars :P

ya, ever since that screw up I had, I have been more careful with the quests :P (it only cost me a few friendship pts from Sterk so it's not that bad)

Considering how useful Sterk is in battle, his friendship points are easy to get up since I've always got him in my party.

Speaking of battles, have you had any luck upgrading your weapons at all? I hadn't even come close until I won a staff from quests.

I can't find the right materials, I'm getting close to the one that you can exchange with tickets though.

I finally put my finger on what's going on with 4 Heroes of Light. It is the ideal of Final Fantasy. Not ideal as in best, but ideal as in purest form. It is the absolute Final Fantasiest of them all. It is all the best parts of the series and all of the worst. It has the job system of Final Fantasy III/V blended with X-2, the battle system of the earliest games, with the customization of options of the PSOne versions, the first half flow of XIII before transitioning into the flow of VI, the story and characters of I, etc and so forth- all mixed together. It's kind of crazy. It could be said that if you don't like this game, you don't like Final Fantasy. Not because it's the best, but because it's the most representative of what makes these games Final Fantasy.

Fallout NV is a good game and I am still having fun, despite a major setback this weekend. I will try my best to explain what happened without spoiling anything.

In this game, there are several different factions. With each faction, you can earn their admiration, or hatred, depending on what you do for [or to] them. One of these factions is called Legion and I made the mistake of pissing them off upon first meeting them. This was a game-breaking mistake, as they were sending assassination squads after me, wherever I went in the Wasteland. Once they found me, and they always would, I was killed damn near instantly. Trying to fight back was useless and my level 7 character didn't stand a chance.

After taking this abuse, repeatedly, I decided that I had no other choice than to load the save before I had upset them, otherwise it would have been impossible to make any progress. I ended up losing almost three hours of playtime, but I will have my revenge when I am stronger.

What is funny is that last year, this would have put me in a rage and I would've stopped playing the game and moved on to something else. It seems that I really have changed though, as the idea of quitting the game over something like this never crossed my mind. The important lesson to pass along to you guys is that it pays to have a wide span of older saves in this game. I am rotating twenty save slots right now, with about six hours between the oldest and the newest. I've been thinking about upping that to thirty, to be extra safe.

p.s. I have still not seen any game breaking glitches.
