the garbage one was bad
Did you 100% it? Cause I think there's another garbage one as the very final puzzle in the last unlockable house. I don't even want to think about how awful that is when the hidden trash pile one was killing me. But really, doing these last few puzzles make me really not want to play the third game. This game's selection of puzzles was not nearly as fun as the first and this part of the game is just so frustrating that it's leaving me with a REALLY bad taste in my mouth.

I skipped a lot of puzzles at the end. I think I did like one marble puzzle and there another annoying one that I only did 1-2 of them.

Valkyria Chronicles 2, yo!

Played a bit yesterday at the library, and a bit today... but not much. Still sick and don't really feel like doing anything. So far so good, though, the fact that it's on the PSP doesn't really bother me...

I picked up Etrian Odyssey II from where I left off (like last year or something :P), got to the first boss and got my ass kicked. They made the FOEs wayyy to hard this time, good thing the FOEs in EO3 are giving out exp.

Also getting pretty far in Hexyz force, I think I'm at the chapter before the last, the dungeon is getting soooo confusing (like tons of corridors leading to no where and freaking locked paths)

Play a lot of Nostalgia too, the game is too easy... the encounter rate is a bit too high to my liking though, but still a good game.

I got to chapter 13 in Disgaea with Laharl being level 72 (I think) and the rest in the 40's... I'm getting so sick at grinding :/

DJ Max's club mode is waaaayyy too easy so far, at a point that it's getting boring, it's good though, because my skill decreased so much from not having played a game in the series since last year.

I'm closed to halfway through Halo 3 in co-op, but one of my friend don't have much time anymore so we haven't played it for a while

I really need to play 3D dot game hero, but missing a HDMI cable in my house is not helping...

I think that's all I did since the last update, I don't have as much time to play games as earlier this year because of school :(

Whoa, you're playing a whole lot of games at once. I am just playing one, Super Mario Galaxy 2.

Still chipping away at FFV in the slowest manner possible.

Started Katamari Forever. Sarah enjoyed it a lot and my best friend in grade school was a fan of the original when it came out. I've never played a Katamari game before, so I figured I'd give it a shot. What's there to lose when you already own the game?

Also started Symphony of the Night. It's Castlevania. Again. Well, first time. But, for me, again. I'm a little over this whole style at this point, honestly, and this one isn't doing a whole lot to distinguish itself. I understand when it came out it was the first, but I'm playing it 2nd to last, so it's not really doing a whole lot for me so far.

Still chipping away at Oot. I just finished Jabu-Jabu (which I remembered is my least favorite dungeon in the game next to the Water Temple), and now I'm Big Link.

Jabu Jabu's Belly was the worst. That was the one that did me in. Forest Temple was so mediocre after that I finally said eff it and quit.

I actually spent a couple hours playing majora's mask on my friend's collector's edition disc on the gc. Started a new file and beat the woodfall temple. Man, it's been forever since I played that game.

Castle Crashers.

Been having a blast playing it with random online people. Too bad nobody here has it for PS3, it is a lot of fun. The thing that makes it awesome is all the different unlockables. Animal orbs, weapons and new characters. I beat it three times already and I need to beat it some more times to unlock the characters i want.

My God, Katamari is an absurdly frustrating game. It controls like crap and it has the single worst camera I've ever encountered in a game. It'd be 10x easier if I could control my bloody camera and actually see where I'm going at any point.

Final Fantasy V is the dark horse of the early Final Fantasies. It's really very good. It has the balance and flow that IV and VI lack, even if it doesn't have quite the same level of cast and story (though, I still enjoy the cast in here quite a bit). Plus, turtle sage and the moogle village = .

The only real complaint I have is that it feels so slow. I decided to test that out today and one of the reasons it feels so slow is because the clock is a liar. I played 47 minutes real time and it logged 37 minutes game time. Is it wrong that I think I may very well be losing that 10 minutes on loading screens? I'm gonna double check next time I play, just to see.

FFV
Start World 3
13:24 (which is a lie, I timed again and got 25 game for 30 real min)

Bartz- 29- Samurai with Dbl Grip
lvl 5 Knight/ lvl 4 Samurai- 360 ABP left to master Samurai

Reina- 29- Time Mage with White Magic
lvl 6 Time Mage/ lvl 6 White Mage- 110 ABP left to master Time Mage

Krile- 29- Sorceror with Dbl Grip
lvl 3 Knight/ lvl 6 Sorceror- 160 ABP left to master Sorceror

Faris- 29- Ranger with Counter
lvl 4 Monk/ lvl 3 Hunter/ lvl 1 Ninja- 60 ABP left to master Hunter

So, for the first three, I'm just going to master the one class and then switch them back to Bare (for those who haven't played the game, you gain whatever stat increases from mastered jobs to bare). I could master their sub jobs, but what'd be the point? The difference between Bare with Time Mage and Bare with Time and White Mage is so miniscule, it's not worth the effort. It's like, what, +1 to Magic? Faris is going to turn into a Ninja and stay there, though. Since I won't have time to master that class (shame you don't get either Hunter or Ninja until late), I'll need to use it to have Dual Wield + SShot. So between that and a Dbl Grip Sorceror, I think I've got DD covered. Samurai's got good armor, nice HP and a dodge ability, so I may drop Dbl Grip for Cover if I start having trouble and have them tank. All in all, I'm definitely happy with my party and the game's been smooth sailing with them so far.

I finished getting that last (120) star in SMG2 yesterday. After that was a replay of the final Bowser fight to get the extra ending, which was worth it, only because I like Rosalina so much. I did get one green star, just to see what that was all about, but I don't think it is at all worth it to play the game again in an attempt to collect all of them. If this game had been released back when I was a kid and only got a few games each year, then I'd totally play it again, but due to my massive game backlog now, that is simply not an option.

So, I wasted no time jumping into the next game, De Blob. I have played the first two worlds and I have to say that this game is fun. If I had to compare this game to any other it would be the awesome Jet Grind Radio series. In this game, you play a blob of paint trying to restore color to the a world ruled by a monochromatic Hitler-esque bad guy character. Restoring color to buildings and such is fun enough, but there are also mini-challenges that can be completed which will help to earn you more game time within each level. Seeing the world that was once black and white transition to a world of vibrant colors is very cool, and playing this game makes me feel like a kid with a crayon.

This game is not without some faults though and they are potentially big problems. The first is that the game does not have a save anywhere function. This is likely because it would have been impossible to implement due to all of the different combinations of color and such, so it is understandable. However, some of the main levels can take a long time to complete everything. For example, I spent 70+ minutes on the second level of the game, and because there is no save option, I actually had to pause the game to eat dinner. When was the last time you ever HAD to do something like that in a game?

The other problem is with the controls. Because this game is on the Wii, the developer must have wanted some reason to use the motion controls. This is the only possible explanation for the idea of having to flick the Wiimote to jump. As you can imagine, in a platformer game such as this, being stuck having to perform this motion over and over again kind of sucks. It doesn't help that there is no option to change the jump function to a button either, but oh well, it isn't the end of the world.

Despite those two issues, this game is a lot of fun and I am having a blast playing it. It is just good fun.
