No daylight, I'm too weak to face it!
Oh... Then that sounds right up my alleyway. I hate when games limit my ability to choose and take control away from me.

Got platinum in Trine. Had to replay it to get a glitched trophy that didn't pop up on my first game save. DCL, what made you break a controller over this game? None of the trophies seemed really frustrating.

I'm pretty sure it had to be the beat the final level without getting tagged. That's what made me want to chuck a controller out a window after an hour of getting super freaking close. That was when I decided that Platinuming that game was not worth the frustration.

Ah, that trophy. I didn't really get frustrated with that one because I remembered that LBP had a trophy for beating EVERY story level without dieing. That just made the Trine trophy feel so much easier.

Playing nostalgia, the game itself reminds me of Wild arms 3 for some reason. The battle system is pretty much the standard one (fight, skills, items), the random encounter rate so far is a little high.

In the world map you get to travel by airship and there's random encounter involving airship fights (against other airship or monsters), it's pretty cool but it seems to be pointless so far since the enemies are giving next to no exp. You also get to customize the airship's equipment.

I like that at the end of Case 3, Miles comes up to Phoenix and starts talking about the confusing feelings that Phoenix is bringing out in him.

Disgaea is getting really boring around chapter 12 :/

I'm getting sick of this "grind, story, grind" pattern, and the whole grinding in item world is really not my thing...

I'll probably end up grinding Laharl to level 150ish and solo everything till the end.

I am almost finished with Red Dead Redemption. It is a good game, but I am ready for it to end at this point. I am not going for 100% completion, since some of the tasks are a bunch of bull*. I am not going to run all around the world again just to collect another two of every different herb, no way! I think I finished the last main story mission, but now there seem to be another mission or few left, so I will finish those and be done with this game, probably by this afternoon.

kknd... isn't that the concept for every SRPG?

Only if you suck. ;)

Nah, Disgaea (the original) is by FAR the cheapest damned game I ever played. The whole final quarter is structured to put you at the most ridiculous disadvantages.

not every one, that's why I prefer those that don't require you to grind for hours or those that you can't grind at all (ie Vanguard bandits, Vandal Hearts)

actually, I don't mind grinding, but not the excessive ones

I decided to play Wet (360) because I thought it might be a fast and fun FPS game. I am going to stick with this game, like every other this year, but I must say that this game is quite silly.

The idea is that you have to kill bad guys in acrobatic ways, all while looking at a grainy, flickering, headache-inducing screen trying to pull off a Grindhouse type of presentation. In reality, you run, jump and flip around like an idiot while killing cannon fodder in inconvenient ways, all while looking at a cheesy, trying-much-too-hard attempt at pulling off that Grindhouse feeling, topped off with terrible punk and rock songs which are played so loudly in what I can only assume is an attempt to overload one of your senses in an effort to distract you from the mindnumbingness of it all.

It really isn't all bad though and who knows, I might grow to love it. :thumb2:

Resistance: Retribution. What can I say. It is Resistance. Only portable and with less analog stick. I don't like how they hide the skills from you though.

I'm hooked on Wipeout HD again. Trying to go for the platinum this time. I'm working on an elite campaign, just need 8 more elite golds but they are hard as hell. I already got the trophy that people say is the hardest one, but I am looking at some of the others and they look downright impossible.

Keep me updated, I was interested in this game at one point until I heard about some repetitiveness, let me know if those reviews were right or wrong.
