kknd- The lag and the stupid item growing ruined that game for me. I wanted to like it a lot, too.

Ya, so far what kills the game for me is the slowdown and the random difficulty spike (wtf?!)
The random difficulty spike is because of the lag

Workin on Spectral Force 3. It is a true SRPG for the 360 :thumb: The box didn't lie :finger:

Is it good, squid?

Aight, so here's my synopsis.....

Assassin's Creed 2 - I'm 4 missions away from finishing it. I should have it finished up tonite. My preliminary thoughts before the review are that it is a moderately enjoyable 3D platformer that has a very gripping - even if contrived and conspiracy theory rich - story. I would give it good marks, but it no where NEAR lives up to all the hype it was given when it dropped. The next edition seriously needs to address the camera angle issue, the horrible fast travel system and the grotesquely boring timed button-mashy combat system.

Chrono Trigger - Just made it to the end of time and started to learn magics for everyone. Interesting. I still say this game is boring to play, but the story has at least gotten interesting enough for me to want to know what's gonna happen next.

Morrowind - haven't touched it since firing AC2 back up. I'm in the city that I hate to navigate trying to find the Blades members to give me friggin quests. So boring.

As soon as I finish up AC2 and Chrono Trigger, either FF or Lunar SSH is next.

SF3 could be good. It has some flaws though. Right off the top your characters are locked into thier classes. They can't switch weapons (just upgrade and assign elemental attributes). Levelling gives you one base stat to increase by a point. And your equipment is dictated by a CP cap level thing so you gotta pick and choose which equipment to give.

There is potential though. You play a band of mercs in a war of 10 nations. So hopefully I can dictate where the story goes by helping one or all. And the healer can't attack :(

Aight. Correction. I'm still rocking thru Chrono Trigger... Made some really good progress today, but still having a tough time getting much enjoyment out of it. It's a cool game, it's just the gameplay is dated I guess.

Took a break tonite and loaded an old file I had from FF on PSP and FINALLY beat that game. Hallelujah. Bout time I finished that joint.

Prolly gonna fire up FF2 for the PSP on the drive down to VA Beach. Hopefully I can finish it and then fire up Lunar next week...

Also started AND finished Fragger today. What another fun artillery based game.

I finally got pass the initial hump in Disgaea, I feel like I will be able to finish the game this time. (I think this is my 6th attempt of something) I don't think I'll bother with the post game stuff though, not interested in hundreds of hours of grinding.

that Belial and those freaking wise men = pure frustration

Word can't describe how I hate those junk that the dragon spits out, watching your character getting raped in slow motion =

The end of that game gets ridiculously obnoxious. I did not enjoy the original Disgaea at all.

Ya, I can already imagine them setting up the most disadvantageous map setting to screw me over.

I started playing Red Dead Redemption this weekend. I like this game quite a bit and I've already played for more than a dozen hours. This game is surprising in the variety of new situations that it puts the player into, though I wonder how much longer they can keep that up. I like it when people ask me for help, just out of nowhere really, and I always make an attempt.

For example... I was riding back to town late at night after completing a mission and this guy starts yelling at me from the side of the road about his friend who is being hanged, asking me to help him. I rode to the spot and tried to save the guy, but his horse got spooked from under him and he died hanging from the tree. His friend cut him down and started crying. I actually felt terrible because I had failed, but I gave it my best shot, so it isn't like I can beat myself up over it or anything.

So far, it is the little things in this game that have made the biggest impression on me as a player. It also doesn't hurt that I like the main character either, as he isn't a thug, but has a back story that makes me want to play as I think he should be played, like a good guy. I like that he has a family to get back to, so he isn't sleeping with the prostitutes and such. It is refreshing to play a positive character (so far anyways) in a game made by Rockstar.

Still playing Morrowind, I guess...

Fired up Bioshock. I finally made it past the part I always got stuck on before. Now that I've got some new powerups, the game is a bit more enjoyable. I still don't like this "Hero down on his luck with 2 bullets and a cigarette" approach this game takes. Give me some ammo dammit!!!!

Lunar Silver Star Harmony - I'm about 5hrs in I guess. I've done about an hour of leveling and the rest of the time pushing the story forward.

Dragon Ball Origins is definitely not as fun as people made it sound. Pretty repetitive so far and the control is not very good.
