There are tons of different pathways and forks in the road in Act 2 that people usually don't realize. I didn't really notice it until my third playthrough. There's also a ton of exploration, secrets and easter eggs to find in that act too. Don't know how much you're going to find without an internet guide though which is why it's better to look for those on a second playhrough.

On another note: I've been playing some Wii Sports Resort lately and it's actually a lot of fun. I wasn't the hugest fan of the first, but this one's got some definite winners.

Chapter 3 is a stealth fest, follow this guy around a confusing city for an hour. Chapter 4 is walk through desolate hallways for an hour and chapter 5 is walk through one room, then end game. All the while, listening to 10 hours worth of cutscenes. Oh, and a few boss fights are thrown in there to break up the nothing. Good game, but would have been better off as a 4 part movie or something.

I'm really trying to decide whether or not I care enough about these characters to finish this game. In here? God no, I couldn't care less what happens to anyone. I've got the same emotional connection as I do to my keyboard. In the series as a whole? I've played 3 parts and loved them, I feel like I should see it through to the end.

But man, I do not have the patience for this series any more. When it's just sneaking and I've got some leeway to do it, cool. When it's anything else, no go. Laughing Octopus is just a nuisance. It's just sad cause I adored the other games so much. When I think about beating it in context of this game, I want to shelve it. When I think about beating it in context of the series as a whole, I want to push through so I can lay them all to rest.

Sorry GLS, but when you're realizing you no longer like something you've loved for so long and you're trying to make the pieces fit again, it's going to end up in multiple posts.

Rag, you have a great way of describing games in a few sentences.

Part of the reason I loved Chapter 4 so much was because it was almost like a break from the main game. It felt nice and relaxing, and got you ready for Chapter 5 (for as long as it was).

God, maybe I am awful at CQC or something, but I could not beat the game until I tried it more than like 8 times. So damn hard lol.

Somehow Bayonetta found its way into my PS3. God knows how that happened.

I'm a big fan of the combat, but these cutscenes are some wackness. And I can definitely see a BIG Devil May Cry influence in this one. ;)

Okay, so the Prologue was okay, but I just played the first Chapter. Freaking AWESOME. Let me put it like this: she summons demons out of her clothes to finish off bosses. SO COOL! :D

Also, none of the issues from reviews are still present, it seems. There's no slowdown yet, loading times aren't bad (except for saving, and that's no worse than Eternal Sonata) and the graphics look fine aside from an annoying blur filter in cinematics.

They released a pacth that fixed some of the loading times and framerate issues. Probably the reason why you haven't seen anything yet.

Yeah, I had heard. Just cause there's a patch, though, doesn't mean anything was actually fixed. I was letting people know that it has been cleaned up (at least in the first hour). ;)

UUUUUUGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!

I just lost a whole focking chapter. Died on the chapter boss, went to select Retry. Forgot that the attack button isn't confirm, jump is. Attack is, for some godforsaken reason, move to the next option. My mind autocorrects and hits jump. After I've already hit attack. Meaning I just clicked Quit. No biggie, I'll just reload the save. NOPE. It autosaved me going back to the chapter select screen. That's like 45 mins of progress gone. 45 mins of hard earned progress.

I wanna cry. :(

Edit: So turns out when you skip cutscenes, know what you're doing and now rock at the game (only one death), you can beat that chapter in 16 minutes. Yay! :yay:

Retarded ass saving system aside (who saves when you quit to chapter select, overwriting the save further along?), I love this game. :D

I hate losing progress in games anymore, as I've become spoiled by these more modern (easier) games. I've already died once in Strange Journey and I lost about 20+ minutes worth of play time. Of course, it only took a few minutes to rush through all of the text and such to get back to where I was before, but it still kind of sucked. Oh well, I guess it is the price to be paid for old school dungeon crawling goodness.

Yo, let me know how Strange Journey treats you. I've been hearing good things about it and keeping an eye half out.

Hey Nate! How far are you into Bayonetta anyways? Trust me, some of the later parts of the game will kick your ass, believe it.
