Hm… Well, that's slightly disappointing to hear. Oh well, I am sure it will stay cute enough to hold my interest for a good while, at least I hope so. I don't think I was expecting a 10+ hour experience either, but that's fine too.

Will say that Eternal Sonata is probably the fastest I've ever beaten an RPG. Generally it takes me months to beat one, but this one took me about two weeks thanks to it being very engaging visually and with the battle system. Story was fine...but I rather enjoyed looking at the graphics more. 8)

I remember some of the puzzles and backtracking being a bit of a pain, but once you get everyone, and you get settle into your party of choice, you can get through it at a very good pace. Falsetto, Frederic, and March were my party of choice, since their higher combo attacks really helped make battles quick and effortless, but I liked that every character had a value of some sort. There was a rare item I found and equipped to Falsetto and that basically saved the entire game since it saved me having to do any kind of healing or anything on her. I wish I could remember what it was. I guess...I could fire the game up, but I think I saved a New Game+ and thus...don't have Falsetto. :( Maybe blitz knows what I'm talking about.
Sounds familiar, but not sure I had it. I remember you recommending that party to me, but I remember switching it up and having both Salsa and March in my party. Now I think about it, I am not 100% sure Viola was my third character..... but I am still like 80% sure she was, only because I remember using her Heal Arrow an awful lot.

Yeah, while spouting villainous lies about what's really happening the whole time. "Oh, I'm gonna play Valkyria Chronicles." "I do nothing but play Grandia all day." I hope DCL crushes you. :D

When did I say that? I said that Grandia would replace VC for the time being. I can't just play Grandia all the time. There are trophies to be had.

For those who've played them: About how long is Eternal Sonata? What about MP2: Echoes?

Eternal Sonata is a shy under 30 hours if you do the bonus dungeon. If you don't, you can have it shut down in about 25-27.

Yeah, I don't so much care about the trophies. It was fun to mess with Rag for a while and they're cool to challenge myself with in the game, but if they're not in something, it's not gonna faze me. ;)

I didn't realize it doesn't even have trophies. Sony really needs to implement Trophy BC.
