Finished the Ocean Temple (which aside from being in the ocean had absolutely nothing to do with water whatsoever). Okay, so here's the deal: if you're in a dungeon, Spirit Tracks is GREAT. If you're not in a dungeon, it's an absolute nuisance filled with slow travel, backtracking and fetch quests. So half a brilliant game, half complete filler to pad out the experience.

I think I'm about 1/3 of the way thru Risen. if I had to give a short description of my thoughts right now, I'd say the game is both Fun and Terrible all in one. |

Man oh man, I don't even know how much time I spent gaming today. I don't know that I've had as gaming intensive a day in a LOOONG time. Played through the Fire Temple in Spirit Tracks, beat a good chunk of Trine and played some Heavy Rain, too. Anyway, I wasn't the hugest fan of Trine when I first started it, but it's really grown on me. Now that I've got a good grasp on the controls, I'm having a lot of fun with it. I do know I won't bother Platinuming because playing this on Very Hard is not really a prospect I relish. Plus, look what happened to DCL. Edited by nate, Feb 27 2010, 11:41 PM.

I do not know how you are to get 10,000,000 $ in WKC. I just did one play through and got 143,000. Then started a new game plus and sold all items just to see how much I would get for them. My total afterwards was 247000. You would have to play through this game like 50 times.

I read that a Platinum takes roughly 750 hours to get. Have fun?

Oh that's just bull. Go to Linebeck to upgrade my train. Sell him all my treasure to get funds. Turns out he takes freaking treasure as payment. GREAT. There goes the whole game's worth of treasure. Why on Earth would they have a sell treasure to Linebeck option when that's his bloody currency?? And I know part of the final boss will be a train battle. Without a doubt. And if I can't beat it because I'm using the stupid base model train, I'm going to be PISSED. Granted, I haven't lost to a boss yet, but Link's been upgraded with tools and hearts all this time. :x |

This is not my day for games not registering what I'm doing, is it? All the gimmicks, need to go. Get rid of motion control until that crap actually registers and get rid of stupid crap like the mic on the DS. 20 goddamned minutes I've been trying to get this final song in Spirit Tracks. I've played it perfectly a number of occasions, after he finishes and nothing. God knows what this stupid bloody game wants from me, but it's really pissing me off. kknd, what the hell am I doing wrong here? I watched YouTube videos, mimicked them perfectly and nothing. Is my game just glitched? |

Oh, the freaking songs that you have a space between two notes? Just try to slide through that space really fast, I "think" that's how I did it. I hated that part too. |

So I tried every variation I could think of last night. Play it spot on. Play it fast. Play it slow. Nothing. Was gonna get Sarah to give it a shot in hopes she'd do something slightly different for it to register. Was going to show her. Accidentally blew a note while talking. Oops. Went to show her how it was done anyway. And it registered. Freaking ridiculous. |

I get a snow day, but Sarah has to go to work so I can't play Heavy Rain. :( I'm trying to think of what I could play in the meantime that wouldn't last too long. Maybe finish Sly 3? |
