SO I gave Dark Void a whirl last night. I won't see the end of it ever but I enjoyed it to the point where I got into a full on flight mission and couldn't hijack the UFOs because they were armored. Which left me utterly screwed since I haven't played a flying game since Top Gun and Afterburner. And they were nothing like DV in terms of manuverability. Tonight I am going to try AVP. |

Freeze on me once, shame on you. Freeze on me twice, shame on me. Freeze on me three times, try to solve the problem. Freeze on me four times, fock a platinum. I cannot get the simulator room to stay thawed long enough to get more than a couple team swaps done for this stupid all fusions trophy. On the bright side, at least I won't have to scrounge up the last 40 boosts. On the sad side, wish I hadn't wasted so much time and frustration on beating Adrenaline Surge. 3 bloody trophies away. Stupid glitchy-ass game. :x Edited by nate, Feb 18 2010, 11:07 PM.

Use the first level to do it. That is supposedly the fastest way. |

The fastest way would be the first simulator mission where you have a permanently charged fusion bar. It is not at all worth my time to spend forever filling and refilling that thing. ;) |

Bah you'll never become a trophy whore with that kind of attitude :(   And you are right it is Sim 1. I misread a guide. I might have went for it if I had known that. |

Yeah, well I'm trying to finish the platinum in Prince of Persia if that makes it any better. I spent a good hour and half or so getting the combo trophy on a new game last night and I've been trying to get the last 100 light seeds on my original file tonight. And there's a very good reason I stopped light seed hunting. Some of them are ridiculous to find, impossible to use a FAQ for since the entire section looks exactly the same and you're not sure which 3 you're missing out of 50 anyway and some of the level design is horrendous. Not fun. But since it's my absolute last trophy in there, I'm going to force my way slowly and painfull through. It's taking me longer than the real game at this point. |

Stuck on a boss on Tales of Vesperia. Not looking forward to leveling, but I'm afraid I might have to a bit. I hate air creatures. Maybe I should work on my strategy a little more. Didn't get any achievements though. :( Was really working hard for all of them at the same time, but it didn't happen while I was in this dungeon. Maybe next time. |

nate, is Critter Crunch only $3? Or was it on sale? I'm thinking about making it my next PSN purchase. |

It was on sale for 3.50. You could check, but I think it's back up to $7. It's a good game, but it gets way too difficult to beat about 75% through the Adventure mode. And since Adventure mode is what unlocks the other stuff... :( Online is kind of fun, though. |

Played some more Spirit Tracks. This game should be so good, but the little annoyances just kill my interest in playing it most of the time. The controls are no longer fresh and the fact it's 100% touch screen is just a nuisance at this point. Leave the tools touch screen, but bring back normal freaking combat. Also: get rid of the train. "Go across the map to the new dungeon." Slowly get there (while plotting routes around unkillable bad guy trains). "The bridge is out! Go get the builder back from where you were!" Get the builder . "I'm a picky customer so you have to drive the train precisely the right way or I'll leave." Get back to where you were. Enforced sidequest time! And that brings me to the third issue with the game: the bullcrap between dungeons. Oh my God, they really couldn't have been bothered to just code more dungeons, so they have you doing fetch quests, train trips and random side missions to fill the gaps between the dungeons and pad out the length. You know, I'd be cool with a trim 5-8 hour game if you'd just leave this nonsense out. It's just constant running back and forth for absolutely no purpose. Really, even though those three things annoy me to no end, it's a really well done game. It's pretty, it sounds nice, plays well, has decent dungeon design most of the time and has that Nintendo charm. So really, it should be an A+ game. Unfortunately, Nintendo cannot just leave well enough be. I thought this would fix the handful of issues I had with Phantom Hourglass, which it did, but it also added its own problems without adding anything new. So there's a bit of a been there, done that feel to it. But yeah, it's not bad by any means. It just should've been incredible and that's disappointing. |

Spirit Tracks is one of the more criticized Zelda games. I cannot say I am surprised. Trains do not leave much room for exploration. I was always wary about the controls being completely touch screen. I have not played it or Phantom Hourglass, but i am afraid I would wind up hating the control scheme |

Man, Enchanted Arm's Voice acting is worse than Two Worlds.  The Soundtrack and Gameplay are pretty good, though. I'm enjoying it, still. And since Risen didn't drop today, I needed something to play. And Borderlands is too violent for my son. |
